Jacqueline’s Junque
Like an unexpected wind
Sends a breeze on a sunny day
I'll suddenly recall
Tender words I heard you say.
Like a sudden summer storm
Rising upon the open sea at dawn
My mind fills with music
Of what was once our song.
I never know when
These tender moments will arise,
When suddenly all I see is you
There before my eyes.
Taken back in time
To when you belonged to me,
Before your heart grew cold,
And set my spirit free.
Though I put you out of my mind,
And try hard to forget,
I can't control this heart of mine
And all it recollects.
