Jimmy's parents, Magaret and Ronnie and his little sister, Nicola moved to Runcorn in the north-west of Liverpool. When Jimmy was 17, his dad found him a job as an apprentice mechanic. At that time, Jimmy wanted to become a policeman and while working towards that goal he worked for a while a a lifeguard in a leisure club in Runcorn. He also fantasized about making a legendary first team at Liverpool FC because he excelled at sports in school. But his hopes were shattered when he failed a trial with the Mersey club. Instaed Wrexham took him on, though he spent little of his time between the goal posts. He did a 6 month apprenticeship at Wrexham Football Club where he got to polish the stars' boots.When Jimmy was in his teens, his parents seperated and he soon saw the entertainment world. When his parents split, it was quite hard on his sister but he coped slightly better because he was more independant than her. He'd left home before they split up and come to the terms of life without them being together. Jimmy met Clive at Mr Smith's and began working there as a dancer. He had seen Spike at the nightclub and was quickly introduced to Spike. Before long, Spike and Jimmy were chosen to perform together on the late-night ITV show The Hit Man and Her.
