Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

The Bible tells us in Psalm 122,
they will prosper who love thee."

Below is seven directives to pray for Jerusalem

as you pray for their peace.
I hope you will keep this and refer to it often
as you pray according to the will of God
and the word of God.

Pray for Jerusalem to be the place
for the "House of the LORD,"
the rebuilt Temple.

Pray for Jerusalem to be the center of worship
for the "tribes of the LORD,"
not for the glory of the United Nations or Islam.

Pray for the "Testimony of Israel:"
the continued restoration
of the Jewish people to their own land.
Also, the continued restoration
of the Jewish people to God through Yeshua.

Pray for the Israeli government
that they would have the wisdom and mind of Messiah
in all that they do and say.

Pray for the prosperity of Israel.
Pray for the people of Israel to receive Salvation.
Pray with trust and peace that all of God's purposes,
as spoken in His Word, will be fulfilled.

"The end of all things is at hand;
therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers"
(1 Peter 4:7).

Paul Wilbur sings Shalom Jerusalem

Matthew 23:36-38
36 Verily I say unto you,
All these things
shall come upon this generation.

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem,
thou that killest the prophets,
and stonest them which are sent unto thee,
how often would I have gathered thy children together,
even as a hen gathereth her chickens
under her wings, and ye would not!

38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

39 For I say unto you,
Ye shall not see me henceforth,
till ye shall say,
Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Psalm 122 1-9
1 I was glad when they said unto me,
Let us go into the house of the LORD.

2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates,
O Jerusalem.

3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:

4 Whither the tribes go up,
the tribes of the LORD,
unto the testimony of Israel,
to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.

5 For there are set thrones of judgment,
the thrones of the house of David.

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
they shall prosper that love thee.

7 Peace be within thy walls,
and prosperity within thy palaces.

8 For my brethren and companions' sakes,
I will now say, Peace be within thee.
9 Because of the house of the LORD our God
I will seek thy good.

Isaiah 62: 6-7
6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls,
O Jerusalem,
which shall never hold their peace day nor night:
ye that make mention of the LORD,
keep not silence,

7 And give him no rest,
till he establish,
and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Zechariah 12:3
And in that day will I make Jerusalem
a burdensome stone for all people:
all that burden themselves with it
shall be cut in pieces,
though all the people of the earth
be gathered together against it.

Psalm 91
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD,
He is my refuge and my fortress:
my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee
from the snare of the fowler,
and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers,
and under his wings shalt thou trust:
his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night;
nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness;
nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side,
and ten thousand at thy right hand;
but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see
the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the LORD,
which is my refuge,
even the most High,
thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee,
neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee,
to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands,
lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder:
the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me,
therefore will I deliver him:
I will set him on high,
because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me,
and I will answer him:
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him,
and shew him my salvation.

John 4:22
Ye worship ye know not what:
we know what we worship:
for salvation is of the Jews.

"As the navel is set in the centre of the human body,
so is the land of Israel the navel of the world...
situated in the centre of the world,
and Jerusalem in the centre of the land of Israel,
and the sanctuary in the centre of Jerusalem,
and the holy place in the centre of the sanctuary,
and the ark in the centre of the holy place,
and the foundation stone before the holy place,
because from it the world was founded."
Midrash Tanchuma, Qedoshim.

'JERUSALEM OF GOD'

Jerusalem is The city of GOD,
here His Holy feet have trod,
Someday soon, we will be there,
And as He promised, in His care.

The GOD of Jacob made His choice,
Where His people would hear His voice,
His Beloved Son, Yeshua cried,
Although heartbroken when He sighed.

On the cross in Jerusalem City,
Indeed, He was a sight of pity,
But when, He arose from the dead,
He conquered all, as He said.

He's coming back as a Lion,
To rule and reign from Zion,
As eternity, He ushers in,
In New Jerusalem, Yeshua our King.

Father, in the name of Jesus
and according to Your Word,
I long and pray for the peace of Jerusalem,
that they may be saved (Psalms 122:6-8).

I pray that the people will possess heart peace
in the knowledge that You are their refuge and
stronghold through Jesus.

I pray that through obedience to Your Word,
they will walk in the fullness of their heritage
by Christ Jesus (Acts 4:1, John 1:12, John 14:6).

Your Word says “multitudes, multitudes, are in
the valley of decision”(Joel 3:14,) and whoever
calls upon Your name shall be delivered and saved (Joel 2:32).

As Your Word promises, when any man is in Christ
Jesus he becomes brand new, the old is passed away
and everything becomes of God (II Corinthians 5:17).
So then, this is the reality I pray for the
children of Israel, that they may be more than
conquerors through Christ
and never separated from Your love (Romans 8:37-39).

Lord I pray for the peace of Jerusalem but most
of all I pray for the heart peace of its people
through that vital connection to You
through Your son, Jesus Christ.

I pray that their ways will be pleasing in Your
sight so that they walk in the promise that You
will make even their enemies to be at peace with them (Proverbs 16:7).
May they realize that their defense and shield
is in your power and the choice is theirs.

I thank Lord for Your covenant with the Jews
and the promise that all Israel shall be saved,
that their sins will be removed,
and that they are Your beloved.

I thank You Lord that your gifts are without
repentance and You are not a man
that You should lie (Numbers 23:19)
and that that You do not change Your mind
about those to whom You give Your grace
or to whom You send Your call (Romans 11:26-29).

Although they have been disobedient and rebellious
toward You Lord, I pray they will repent,
obtain Your mercy, forgiveness,
and the healing of their land (I John 1:9, II Chronicles 7:14).

Thank You for Your compassion and Your forgiveness
toward Your people.

Peace be within Your walls O Jerusalem,
and prosperity within Your palaces! (Psalms 122:7)
Amen!
