Genesis 1:14-19
14And God said,
Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven
to divide the day from the night;
and let them be for signs, and for seasons,
and for days, and years:
15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven
to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16And God made two great lights;
the greater light to rule the day,
and the lesser light to rule the night:
he made the stars also.
17And God set them in the firmament of the heaven
to give light upon the earth,
18And to rule over the day and over the night,
and to divide the light from the darkness:
and God saw that it was good.
19And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
The Bible says that stars, along with the sun and moon,
were given for “signs” and “seasons”;
that is, they were meant to mark time for us.
They are also “signs” in the sense of navigational “indicators,”
and all through history men have used the stars
to chart their courses around the globe.
Isaiah 40:26
Lift your eyes and look to the heavens:
Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host
one by one, and calls them each by name.
Because of his great power and
mighty strength,
not one of them is missing.
Job 38:4-7
4Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
5Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest?
or who hath stretched the line upon it?
6Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
7When the morning stars sang together,
and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Psalm 33:6
By the word of the LORD were the heavens made,
their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
Psalm 148:3
3Praise ye him, sun and moon:
praise him, all ye stars of light.
4Praise him, ye heavens of heavens,
and ye waters that be above the heavens.
5Let them praise the name of the LORD:
for he commanded, and they were created.
The heavens, with all contained in them,
declare the glory of God.
They call on us, that both by word and deed,
we glorify with them the Creator and
Redeemer of the universe
The Lord Jesus Christ
Psalm 19:1-4
The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech,
and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language,
where their voice is not heard.
Their line is gone out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
Which is as a bridegroom
coming out of his chamber,
and rejoiceth as a strong man
to run a race.
His going forth is from the end of the heaven,
and his circuit unto the ends of it:
and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
How do the stars, planets and constellations declare the glory of God?
Well very simple. In picture form.
Pictures speak to all nations in all languages
And God chose to reveal the story
of the Lord Jesus Christ
In a message through the stars
that all may see and hear God's truth
regarding our past, present and future.
How sad that many seek false fortune tellers
to read the stars for them
instead of going to the very One who made the stars
and freely recieve knowledge for life eternal.
The Bible tells us in Psalms 19
That God preserved His holy word in the heavenlies
Especially in the 12 Signs of the Zodiac
Each constellation represents an atribute or characteristic of the Lord Jesus Christ
and also represents the twelve tribes of Israel
These major star groupings form a belt
which circle the sky
close to the plane of the earth's orbit
around the sun.
that all people of all nations may see
and seek him and learn how to have eternal life.
These twelve constellations were created
by GOD to represent the life of Jesus Christ.
Unfortunatly the adversary has twisted
God's revealed bible truth in astronomy
and used it to deceive people into astrology
to take people focus away from God
to false teachings from the occult
These are the names of the 12 constellations
and a brief description oh how they represent
the Lord Jesus Christ:
1. VIRGO - The Maiden
This constellation, perhaps better named
"The Virgin's Seed,"
depicts a winged virgin holding some wheat,
with the only bright star being located in the wheat.
The three decans of the Infant Prince
(Coma, the lost constellation),
the Herdsman (Bootes),
and the Centaur (Centaurus)
make it clear that it is her seed
which is most important in this figure.
That is, the seed of wheat represents her infant, who is half god and half man,
and who will become the Good Shepherd.
2.LIBRA - The Scales
Before there were coins,
payments were made by weighing out commodities
on a balance scale.
Thus, the proposed meaning is that it represents the role of Christ as the Redeemer,
who paid for our sins with his suffering,
and who literally bought us with his blood.
3. SCORPION - The scorpion.
This killer is shown stinging the heel
of the Serpent Bearer (Ophiuchus)
who in turn is crushing the scorpion's head.
This is so reminiscent of the great promise
given to Eve that her seed would crush
the serpent's head, even though it would
bruise his heel (Gen. 3:15).
That is, her descendant Jesus Christ
would overcome death, hell and Satan,
even though he would be crucified
by the forces of evil.
4. SAGITTARIUS - The Archer
The archer is a centaur (half man, half horse), which might represent the dual nature of Christ, being half god and half human.
It is shown shooting the scorpion,
overcoming the adversary.
It's decans suggest rejoicing at the great victory.
5. CAPRICORNUS - The Sea Goat
Some of the strangest constellations
actually become the easiest to interpret.
The goat is wounded,
and some of the star names indicate that
it is a sacrificial goat.
This most likely represents Christ
as the Great Sacrifice.
The tail of the animal is that of a fish
which appears very much alive,
and which may represent its subsequent resurrection.
6. AQUARIUS - The Water Bearer
Here is a man pouring out an entire stream of water
from a small jar onto the head of the Southern Fish (Piscis Australis).
This represents Christ pouring out blessings
and revelations onto his Church.
7. PISCES - The Fishes
The gospel is indeed portrayed in the heavens. There are two fish tied by their tails
with bands to the great Sea Monster (Cetus). Again, the fish most likely represent Christians, being in bondage to death and hell.
The decan of the Chained Princess, Andromeda, repeat this symbolism, being chained to a cliff
as a sacrifice to the same Sea Monster.
8. ARIES - The Ram
Here the Ram has his leg extended to the bands holding the Fishes, perhaps representing
breaking the bands of death.
He also has one foot on the head of the Sea Monster.
Christ breaking the bands of death
is a common motif in scripture.
9. TAURUS - The Bull
The white Bull is a mighty animal,
being an extinct type of wild ox.
It is clearly used in the book of Enoch
to symbolize the Kingdom of God
in the Millennial reign.
10. GEMINI - The Twins
The twins show the human and divine nature of Christ.
The Twins might also represent that the hero
of the First Coming and the Second Coming
are the same person.
11. CANCER - The Crab
The crab represents the Savior tenaciously holding
onto his flock after having purchased them,
so that no one can pluck them from his hand.
12. LEO - The Lion
The king of beasts is chasing its prey
the Fleeing Serpent (Hydra),
represents the final victory of good over evil
at the end of the Millennium.
Matthew 2:1,2
Now when Jesus was born
in Bethlehem of Judea
in the days of Herod the king,
behold, there came wise men
from the east to Jerusalem,
Saying,
Where is he that is born King of the Jews?
for we have seen his star in the east,
and are come to worship him.
Did you ever wonder why these wise men
from the east spoke about seeing his star?
and how they knew the promised child had been born
two years prior to their arrival??
Remember Herod had all male children
two years of age and under murdered in
in Bethlehem
according to the time he diligently enquired
of the wisemen of the appearance of the Star.
The wisemen studied the Bible written in the stars
A knowledge passed down from the times of Daniel
\
When the wisemen finaly arrived to see the new born King Jesus, he was living with Mary and Joseph
in a house and was two years old
It was then that the wisemen fell down
and worshipped Him. And opened their treasures to present him with the gold , frankincense, and myrrh
Job 31-33
Can you bind the beautiful Pleiades?
Can you loose the cords of Orion?
Can you bring forth the constellations
in their seasons
or lead out the Bear with its cubs?
Do you know the laws of the heavens?
Can you set up God's dominion over the earth?
Amos 5:8
"Seek him that maketh the seven stars of Orion",
Behold He Comes!
Isaiah 13:10
10For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof
shall not give their light:
the sun shall be darkened in his going forth,
and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
20 The mystery of the seven stars
that you saw in my right hand
and of the seven golden lampstands
is this: The seven stars
are the angels of the seven churches,
and the seven lampstands
are the seven churches.
(Revelation 1:20)
Revelation 22:16
"I, Jesus, have sent my angel
to give you this testimony
for the churches.
I am the Root
and the Offspring of David,
and the bright Morning Star."
Daniel 12:3
Those who are wise will shine
like the brightness of the heavens,
and those who lead many to righteousness,
like the stars for ever and ever.
A Prayer To God The Creator
O Lord, our God, in the beginning you
created the heavens and the
earth. You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even
the highest
heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it,
the seas and all that is in them. You determine the number of the
stars
and you call them each by name. You give life to everything, and
the
multitudes of heaven worship you. How many are your works, O
Lord!
Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great
power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. In
wisdom you
made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. Everything you have
made is good. As you declared, it is very good. You are the
one God who
has created us; you are our Father. By faith we understand that
the
universe was formed at your command, so that what is seen was not made
out of what was visible.
By wisdom you laid the earth's
foundations; by understanding you set
the heavens in place. Through your Son, the divine Logos, all
things
were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible,
whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were
created by him and for him. Through him all things were made;
without
him nothing was made that has been made. Your Son has been
appointed
the heir of all things, and through him you made the universe.
Let all creation praise the
Creator. Let the angels, the heavenly
hosts, and the stars praise the name of the Lord. For you
commanded and
they were created. Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea
creatures and all ocean depths, lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
stormy winds that do his bidding, you mountains and all hills, fruit
trees and all cedars, wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and
flying birds, kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all
rulers on earth, young men and maidens, old men and children. Let
us
praise the name of the Lord, for your name alone, O God, is exalted;
your splendor is above the earth and the heavens. You are worthy,
our
Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all
things, and by your will they were created and have their being.
You are the one we should
worship. And we worship you, our Creator,
not your creation. Since the creation of the world your invisible
qualities--your eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly
seen, being understood from what has been made, so we are without
excuse if we fail to honor you. Many are the wonders you have
done. The
things you planned for us no one can count. Were we to attempt to
speak
and tell of them, they would be too many for us to declare.
You created mankind in your own image,
male and female you created
us. You placed us on the earth, because you did not mean for the
earth
to be empty. You have blessed us with food, which is to be
received
with thanksgiving. You formed us and made us. You created us for
your
glory. Since you have created the earth, you want righteousness
to rain
down on it and salvation to spring up in it. The earth is yours,
O
Lord, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.
Everything in heaven belongs to you, so we can make no claim against
you, but rather you against us.
Lord, when we sin, you grieve that you
have made us. We beg you to
create us again in Christ Jesus. Help us to put on a new self,
created
to be like you in true righteousness and holiness. Lord, make us
a new
creation. Create in us a new heart and renew a steadfast spirit
within
us.

The Starry Firmament on High
(Midi)
The starry firmament on high,
And all the glories of the sky,
Yet shine not to Thy praise, O Lord,
So brightly as Thy written Word.
The hopes that holy Word supplies,
Its truths divine and precepts wise,
each a heavenly beam I see,
And every beam conducts to Thee.
Almighty Lord, the sun shall fail,
The moon forget her nightly tale,
And deepest silence hush on high,
The radiant chorus of the sky.
But, fixed, for everlasting years,
Unmoved amid the wreck of spheres,
Thy Word shall shine in cloudless day,
When heaven and earth have passed away.
