AUTHORS NOTE: If the characters seem unusually ditzy these next few chapters, ignore it. They're just hyper in these chapters. Well haven't you ever been on a sugar high?
" No way! I refuse!," Terry said.
" Felicia?," Maddy turned to her.
" Maddy, at the moment, anyone who went streaking through the neighborhood in a toilet paper bikini would be an idiot," Felicia told her.
" Why do you say that?"
" Probably because it's broad daylight out there!"
" It's too early for truth-or-dare anyway," Terry said," We can always play it later."
" Then will you do my dare?," Maddy asked her.
" I think not!"
" It was a good dare, though," Felicia said.
" Why don't you do it then?," Terry asked.
" Hey, I said it was a good dare, not ' I'm crazy, I'll do it '," Felicia said.
Maddy rolled her eyes. She turned on the tv and began channel surfing.
" Cool!," she exclaimed," A pop-up-a-thon."
" All right!," Felicia said, sitting down next to Maddy.
" A pop-a-what?," Terry asked. She didn't really watch VH1 that much.
" A pop-up-a-thon. It's when they show about eighteen hours of pop-up videos," Maddy answered. She got up and began sorting through a pile of videos.
" What the heck is a pop-up video?"
" They take a regular music video and show intersting and amusing facts in reference to the band and the video," Felicia informed her," Just watch, you'll get the idea."
" They're really funny. I watch them all the time," Maddy said, pushing a video into the VCR.
" What's that for?," Felicia asked her.
" To tape any good videos they may show. I thought that was obvious."
" Good luck. They mostly show stuff from the 70's and 80's."
" Well you never know. So what are we gonna do about dinner tonight?"
" Why are you asking us? It's your house," Felicia joked.
" I was just trying to be a good hostess," Maddy sniffed with disdain.
" I just assumed we were having pizza," Terry said.
" Me too. Pizza sounds good to me," Felicia said.
" Okay, pizza it is then," Maddy agreed. She glanced at the tv and pushed record on the VCR." I love this song. ' You Were Meant for Me.' "
" Oh, that's a great video," Felicia said.
" You were saying? Little Miss ' they only show stuff from the 70's and 80's," Maddy teased.
" Oh give me a break. So where are we gonna order the pizza from?"
" We always order from Pizza Hut."
" I'll get the phone book," Felicia headed into the kitchen, then poked her head back out. " How many are we gonna get and what size?"
Maddy picked up some Pizza Hut coupons and sorted through them. " You know, we could get two small pizzas for only fourteen dollars."
" Okay. Are we gonna get one or two six-packs of Pepsi?"
" Here, just let me do it," Maddy walked to the kitchen phone." What kind of toppings do we want?"
Terry got up and followed the others into the kitchen. " Hey, think we might be able to order one of those half-cheese?"
" We'll just get one cheese and one hamburgar. Felicia likes hers with just cheese too," Maddy replied.
" No, I just don't like it with meat," Felicia corrected," Why don't we make that a supreme pizza instead?"
" Ugh! Supreme makes me gag!," Terry objected
" Then we'll get that half-and-half," Maddy said.
" But then you would be able to have more pizza that way, if you had a whole hamburgar pizza to yourself," Felicia said," Besides, don't you like supreme too?"
" Yeah, good point. Hey Terry, do you also like hamburger?"
" Yeah."
" So how about this: two small pizzas, one half supreme and half cheese, the other half supreme and half hamburger and two six-packs of pepsi. That's the only soda they have," Maddy compromised.
" Fine," Terry and Felicia said in unison, but then Felicia added," But who's paying?"
" What do you make me out to be? An ogre? My mom is."
" Free pizza? Even better," Felicia grinned.
After Maddy ordered the pizza, Terry asked," So what's on the agenda for tonight?" She made herself comfortable on a kitchen stool.
Maddy thought a moment." Let me see: My parents are gonna be gone till three in the morning; when the pizza gets here we're gonna watch some movies, starting with 'The Crush'; we're gonna play truth-or-dare later. We've got pizza and soda on the way, two tubs of ice-cream in the freezer, cookies that we made, brownies that you brought over, and there's more soda in the pantry." Maddy smiled." Nothing like an everyday suger-high!"
Terry grinned and rubbed her hands together in anticipation. " Oh, this will be fun."
AUTHORS NOTE: Imagine Terry saying that like Zac says it on Road To Albertane. You know, when they have that water fight with the other tour bus?
" Yeah, we're gonna get hyper and probably drive your parents insane," Felicia said.
" Of course, that's part of the fun," Maddy said.
" That's what I was thinking. What's 'The Crush' about, anyway?"
" I think you'll like it," Terry told her," It stars Alicia Silverstone and she plays this little rich girl who gets this crush on some twenty-eight year old dude."
Felicia frowned. " That doesn't really sound too interesting."
" It is when she's crazy and gets really obsessive."
" How obsessive?"
" Let me think...When the guy tries to move to a new place-her parents were his landlords-she tells his new landlord-to-be that he's a drug dealer, so the new landlord kicks him out," Terry paused and thought a moment," After she found out he and his girlfriend had sex, she locked the girlfriend in a darkroom with a nest of angry wasps. And some other things, some little, others major."
" Ouch. That is obsessive," Felicia agreed," Okay, so maybe it sounds more interesting."
" It sounds like a good movie to me," Maddy said, gathering up some coins and bills.
" How much is in there?," Terry asked," It looks like a lot more than $18.50."
" About $22.00 or $23.00. Always gotta tip the pizzza guy."
" Yeah, especially if he's really cute," Felicia countered.
" Ooooh, I wonder what Taylor would think?," Terry teased.
" Give me a break. You make me sound like I'm boy crazy."
" You are boy crazy."
" Like you've never given a little extra cash to a good looking guy."
" Nope, not really."
" Sorry, can't say I have."
" Verry funny. I'll be right back." Maddy shook her head and set the change on the table in the front hall. She looked up at a familiar tune.

" Hey guys, get in here!," Maddy called," You've gotta see this!"
" What is it?," Felicia asked, then saw the tv," Cool! The 'Where's the Love?' pop-up video!"
" Damn it, and we missed most of it!," Terry groaned.
" No we didn't. Look," Maddy pointed to the VCR," I never stopped the tape. It's been recording the whole time. We'll be able to watch the whole thing later."
" Awesome. Wow, over 40 anti-Hanson web sites," Felicia said as the video came to an end.
" Who cares, there's a lot more fan pages," Terry replied, reading the caption at the end of the video," Isaac said, 'I don't give a rip' about the anti-Hanson movement. I don't give a rip?"
" Well, it's not like he could have said 'I don't give a rats ass'. It would have totally shocked the teenies," Felicia grinned.
" It would shock the teenies to know that we actually know them," Terry said," I can just imagine all the 'grieving' that would go on in the chatrooms. 'Death to those little bitches! They stole our men!' "
" Or, ' Zac was supposed to marry me!," Maddy imitated," and of course, ' But Isaac was gonna be my man!"
" You can't forget, ' But I wanted Taylor to father my child!"," Felicia stated, before they all started giggling.
" Some people really have no life!," Maddy gasped," Did you see that one page that some anti-Hanson made, saying he was Taylor and he hated being part of the group?" This started another fit of laughter.
" You would think that they coulddo normal stuff like date without all this trouble," Terry chuckled.
" Speaking of dating," Maddy said suddenly," what is with you and Isaac?"
" Yeah and isn't that his leather jacket you've been wearing lately?," Felicia added.
Terry blushed. " He gave it to me."
" When?"
" Let me put it this way: he gave it to me after we kissed, but before he asked me out for a date tomorrow night," she grinned.
" You guys kissed?!," Felicia exclaimed.
" Cool! We're gonna have to help you get ready for the date tomorrow," Maddy said excitedly," I could give you a makeover if you want."
" That would be great, thanks. Hey Felicia, what about you and Zac? You two have been all buddy-buddy yourselves lately."
" You know what's weird? As far as I know, we're just friends, but we've been doing a little kissing lately," Felicia blushed. Then she grinned. " But that's nothing compared to Maddy and Taylor!"
" Oh no, Felicia! Don't start this again!," Maddy groaned, putting her head in her hands.
" Why not? You make it so easy."
" It's no big deal!"
" Come on, it sure didn't look like 'no big deal'," Felcia siad, enjoying Maddy's discomfort.
" What are you guys talking about?," Terry asked," You're making it sound like she slept with Taylor or something."
" No, it was nothing like that," Maddy blushed.
" Nothing like that? Maddy, he was lying on top of you!," Felicia exclaimed before she burst out laughing, once again.
" Felicia I'm gonna kill you!," Maddy yelled, and grabbing Felicia's throat, pretended to choke her.
" Aaaaagh! Terry, help me!," Felicia cried in mock terror.
" Children, children," Terry said, pushing them apart," Must I be the only mature one here?"
" Oh bite me," Felicia said.
" Bite yourself," Terry replied," So Maddy, what are you choking Felicia for and Felicia, what are you teasing Maddy for?"
" It's simple really: I'm choking her because she's a dweeb and because she's been teasing me all afternoon," Maddy said.
" And she's been teasing you because..."
" Because me and Zac caught her and Taylor playing a game of hockey," Felicia snickered.
" Okay," Terry said, confused," What's so bad about hockey?"
" It was a game of tonsil hockey!," Felicia giggled.
Something about the way she said that struck Terry as funny and soon she was rolling on the floor with laughter. This made Felicia laugh harder. Maddy stared at them as if they had gone crazy.
" You guys have totally lost it. Felicia, are you aware that you and Zac are so much alike it's scary?"
" Yes I am and I pride myself in it," Felicia gasped.
Maddy began to chuckle herself. Soon they were all rolling, but the laughter subsided after a few minutes. After they all calmed down, they proceeded to exchange more boyfriend stories. They didn't think they would be doing much more laughing for a while though. Their sides just hurt too much.
