Interview With the Vampire, written by Anne Rice and published in 1976, was the first book in the "Vampire Chronicles". The book was later made into a movie starring stars as Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Christian Slater.
The book is about the young Louis de Pointe du Lac who is made a vampire by Lestat. Louis can't stand his maker and together with Claudia, an enfant vampire also made by Lestat, they kill him, or at least they try to. Which they shouldn't have done!
