UE MUSIC DEPARTMENT

WIND ENSEMBLE:
The wind ensemble is composed of the finest wind players at the University. Both music majors and non music majors can be apart of this ensemble if chosen by an audition. This semester the wind ensemble played these pieces on tour: March, Op. 99 S. Prokfieff; Godzilla Eats Las Vegas! E. Whitacre; Prelude, Siciliano, and Rondo M. Arnold arr. J. Paynter; Barnum and Bailey's Favorite K.L. King; and Slava L.Bernstein.

SYMPHONIC WINDS:

The symphonic winds is an ensemlbe open to anyone who has a desire to play in the band. Auditions are recomended but not required. Symphonic winds plays more traditional band repitoire.

ACES BRASS:

Aces Brass is the pep band for the men's and women's basketball teams. They rehearse once a week and play at all the home games. This year the men's team made it to the MVC tournament. Aces Brass went to St. Louis with the team to give their support.

ORCHESTRA:

The symphony orchestra played these pieces on tour: Bacchanale Samson and Delilah C. Saint-Saens; Suite No. 1 Carmen G. Bizet; "Vissi d'arte, vissi d'amore" Tosca G. Verdi; "Summertime" and "My Man's Gone Now" Porgy and Bess G. Gershwin.

CONCERT CHOIR:

The Concert Choir sang these pieces on tour: Ruht wohl, ihr heiligen Gebeine J.S. Bach; Ave Maria A. Bruckner; Wei schon hier zu vertraumen H. von Herzogenberg; Heart We Will Forget Him J. Mulholland; Make Our Garden Grow L. Berstein; Hava Neytzey B'machol arr. M. Goldman; Ev'ry Time I Feel the Spirit arr. M. Hogan; and A Cohan Salute arr. D. Besig.

WOMEN'S CHORUS/MEN'S CHORUS:

The men's and women's chorus are two groups made up of people at the university that have an interest in singing. Both music majors and non music majors sing in this choir.
