-"I can act, and I think I'm pretty good at it. And I play pool pretty well. But that's about it."
-"I was the nuttiest little kid, I'd smack the camera and jump around, they couldn't control me."
-"Did you hear that Nutra Sweet destroys your short term memory. I'm a Nutra Sweet addict, I think that's why I can't remember from one day to the next sometimes."
-"Love at first sight? I abssolutely believe in it! You got to keep the faith. Who doesn't like the idea that you could see someone tomorrow and she could be the love of your life? It's very romantic."
-"I hate talk shows. And you know what? I'm never going to do one again."
-"I always feel like I' on a roller-coaster but I never want to get off! There's a certain high your on."
-"I don't think I have emotions about a lot of things. I rarely get angry, I rarely cry. I guess I do get excited a lot, but I don't get sad or enormously happy. I think a lot of people who talk about all that crap are lying. Right now I'm trying to maintain happiness - That's all I really care about."
-"I do miss being single, but you get used to it the older you get. Most of the time I do feel like I need someone else when I'm alone. But I can still get by with just own company and makes me a stronger person."
-"The last thing I want is to turn into a fat Hollywood Jerk. I was brought up without much money and I was happy. I don't think that I strive for money or success and end up greedy or big-headed. That only leads to unhappiness. I can still be down to earth and do this job as long as I enjoy it."
-"I'd definately say that when I'm alone with a girl, I really get into the whole baby voices, rubbing noses teddy bear thing...I'm getting embarresed now"
-On my first date I went out with this girl named Cessi, this beautiful little Spanish girl. I was in the eigth grade. We had this beautiful relationship over the phone all summer--she went away. We were so close, so bonded, we'd tell each other everything. Then she came home, and we went out to the movies for the first time, and--oh, God!--I wanted it to be perfet. So I put on y light blue turtleneck, which I thought was cool at the time. It was a turtleneck I bought at Kmart or something. When I saw Cessi, I was petrified and I couldn't even look at her in the eye or speake to her. We saw When Harry Met Sally...and I couldn't move, I couldn't look at her or anything. But the movie took me away. For two hours I was at peace because she was watching the movie and I didn't have this responsibility on e to be Superboy. And afterwards I remember eating French di sandwhiches. She was really shy. Finally she said, 'Do you have a problem with me eating this sandwhich?' I said,'No, no, not at all.' But I was acting wierd. And that was our last date. I was in love with her for a year after that, But I couldn't go near her because I was so mortified."
-"My first kiss was the most disgusting thing in my life. The girl injected about a pound of saliva into my mouth, and when I walked away, I had to spit it all out."
-"I don't enjoy what drugs do. I don't do anything except drink once in a while."
-"I was frustrated in school--I wasn't happy leaning things. I know it's up to you to a degree, but a lot of times school is just so dull and boring, it's hard for a kid to learn in that enviorment. You go to school, you go to this class, study this, study that, get your homework, go home. There's hardly any vibrence there. I could never focuse on things I didn't want to learn. I used to do break-dancing skits with my friends at luchtime. I had this one science class where the teacher would give me 10 minutes after the end and I would get up and do improv. I needed to go to a place where I was excited excited about I was learining. For me, it's all about getting a person interested in a subject by linking a lot of joy in doing it. It was lacking for me--and maybe for a lot of other kids in this country."
-"The main thing for me is to just aintain my life with my family and friends. They treat me like Leo, not like Leonardo, Master Thespian. That's all I need to maintain my sanity."
-"I'll say, I had to do all kinds of things I've never done. I had this one terrifying scene where I was supposed to stand in front of a really big group and read poetry. I have this thing, which I've pretty much cleared up, but I hate speaking in front of a large audience. I don't know where it came from. So in this scene, I was messing up over and over again, and Lorraine Bracco was the only person who was getting on me, saying, 'You can do it, you can do it.' And I finally ended up doing it right. She's the best woman I've ever worked with. Woman, as far as older than me."
-"My parents are so a part of my life, they're like my legs"
-"Among my peers? No, I never was. What I would do in order to be popular was, I would put myself on the line and joke around and be wacky and funny, and I was always known as the crazy little kid. I did impressions, all of it. Then I realized that that's not what I want to do. I don't want to be a comedian to please other people."
-"Cheating is a very unique art, I think it has to do with being aware of how the teacher is, first off, and seeing how much they notice, and the time that they do notice and the time they don't notice, and just pinpointing the times when they don't. And being hidden by other people's faces, and having somebody next to you who you're friends with and is extremely smart. I have to commend this guy named Mustafa, who probably helped me through three or four classes completely, just because I sat next to him every time, and I got to copy the homework right before the class started. If I had problems on a test, I'd just look over, and Mustafa would show me his paper and I would write it down. You gotta know about people and how they operate. I had a rough time in school. I just never got over the fact that we weren't allowed to learn what we wanted to learn. But then I asked myself why can't I just create a space for myself where I don't have to do math? Because I'm not good at it and if I have a problem on my taxes, I'll get a tax man. "
-"No way. Far from being a hollywood brat. When I grew up, I lived in the ghettos of Hollywood. Right near the old Hollywood billiards. It was the crack of L.A. My mom came to this country from Germany when she was very young. She met my dad in college. They moved out to L.A. because they heard it was such a great place and then my mom became pregnant. They moved right into the heart of Hollywood, because they figured that's where all the great stuff was going on in this great town. Meanwhile, it was the most disgusting place to be."
-"The thing I love to do is to get into different characters. And you find with each one that there are things that make you uncomfortable. That's the part I like, to get past the unease."
-"Actually," he says seriously, "kissing is pretty disgusting when you think about it. I mean, people are so concerned about eating off the same fork as someone else, and even though you like somebody, do you know that the human mouth is one of the dirtiest things on this planet? A dog's mouth is cleaner. There's so much bacteria and slime and disgust and trapped food and bad breath in a mouth..."
-"One of my passions is to meet people and then imitate them. I love doing that."
-"People get into trouble trying to force themselves into adulthood. I'm still going do whatever teenage roles I can. After all, I'll never be able to play those rolls again."
-"The main thing for me is to just live my life with my family and friends. They treat me like Leo, not like 'Leonardo, Master Thesian' that's all I need to keep my sanity."
