The new CD by the Supertones is the bomb!!! There are 12 songs altogether.
"The Supertones Strike Back" is the first song. It is somewhat reminiscent of the song "Adonai" from their first CD. With a little bit of rap and a lot of ska this song rocks! The next song, "Grace Flood," sounds a lot like the song "Unconditional Love" by the Altar Boys and it talks about the love of Christ. "Resolution" is about someone making a new commitment to God, ready to go all the way this time. "Perseverance of the Saints" is one of my faves. It talks about the "perseverance of the saints": "I will keep fighting to the knockout, even if I'm knocked out/ Hitting hard, I'm hittin' for the belt... Carry us to Heaven by the truckfuls/ I will be as stubborn as a pitbull,/ Neutral as a Nazi, Resolute like Ghandi/ I will keep preaching till I'm took out,/ Till I'm in Heaven en route/ No sell out." "Like No One Else" is about how God loves us "like no one else." "Louder Than the Mob" is about how our "sin yells crucify, louder than the mob that day." "Unite" is another one with rap and it talks about how Christians need to "unite." "Shut Up and Play" is about how the band doesn't care what people think about them being Jesus Freaks. "Tonight" talks about the assurance we have that we will be with Christ when we die. "Little Man" is another one with rap and it talks about how we need to "let [our] pride fall down" because we are little compared to God. "Caught Inside" is a jazzy musical by the Supertones. Then "So Great a Salvation" is an acoustic ska song without the horns.
The CD has a lot of spiritual integrity. All the songs have a very strong message and a great sound. You definitely want this if your a ska fan.
