Who do you follow?
People today think that they cannot be themselves. Many people do not even like themselves. The world tells us that we should be one way or another. Kids think that they need to act like their friends in order to be accepted. People act accordingly to how they think that someone wants them to act. But God loves us the way we are. He desires that we follow Him and desire to be like Him rather than like other people think we should be.
Even Christians have similar problems. They think that they should be just like their pastor or their Christian friends. The devil is always lying to us and trying to get us down by telling us we are no good and we will never be "good enough" or as good as "that person." It's good to strive to be better, but man is not who we should look to. God is our perfect example to look at.
People will come and go. They are frail. They make mistakes. We all do. Your pastor and your Christian friends will not be around forever. Some may even desert their faith and there may be nothing you can do about it. God has great new plans for those who remain faithful to Him and who follow His will and His plan for their lives. When people desert you, God is still there. Remember that God is your leader, not man and He will always remain faithful to you.
