"Ultraforever" by Fold Zandura

Album Review

Fold Zandura has once again created great, artistic, dance/pop/alterna-rock with this sophmore project, "Ultraforever." This album has more pop beats as the band has mellowed down a tad, yet it still rocks! With the very artistic lead singer Jyro Xhan doing all the song writing, this album is great! It has been released on BEC Records instead of Sublime who released the band's last album, "Return." BEC is giving the band the chance to expand more into the general market than before which is a great thing.

"Ultraforever," like I said, has more of a pop sound. The music is all very creative throughout all 16 songs. Some of the lyrics are very poetic and artistic. The songs focus on many different topics including the hope we have for the future, sin, relationships, revenge, finding Jesus, and spending eternity with Him. The song, "Here" is short but very catchy with the only lyrics, "Here it Is! Why are you waiting for/What you were looking for that you find right here?/You won't get very far..." being repeated over and over. The song "Ultradust" displays Jyro's clever, artistic song writing: "There is no place for us in this turning world/We're like the sadness of an ocean/We're both the nearest waves and the farthest shores/and they'll never ever really begin to understand." In all, this album has great music for the 90's alterna- rock/pop fans out their and very well-done lyrics.
