Prinze comments on how Ray and Julie are coping with the events that happened the previous summer:

"She hasn't dealt with all her issues and her demons and it's kind of like she can't see how Ray can be okay with this when she's not. So they're starting to have a few problems here and there and Ray's trying to make it work and he doesn't see why she's not recognizing that, it's the whole... it's a regular relationship the guy thinks he's doing everything right but he's doing something wrong and he just doesn't know what it is."
