A year after her terrifying summer Julie James teeters on the edge. Though she has run off to college in
Boston, her memories and nightmares follow her. If she and Ray really killed deranged fisherman
Ben Willis (MUSE WATSON, 'Assassins'), why was his body never found? Haunted by these
nagging doubts, her grades slip, and her relationship with Ray goes on the skids. What she needs is a
vacation.
Luckily her spunky best friend and roommate Karla Wilson (BRANDY,
the popular singer and star of "Moesha") wins an all expense paid vacation
to the Bahamas for four over the 4th of July weekend. Joining Karla and
Julie on this trip to paradise are Karla's boyfriend Tyrell Martin (MEKHI
PHIFER, last seen in 'Soul Food') and Julie's classmate Will Benson
(MATTHEW SETTLE in his feature debut). Will, who filled the spot vacated by Ray after he
decided to make his fisherman duties a priority over his girlfriend, hopes to replace Ray in more
ways than one.
When they arrive, Julie and her friends learn from the hotel's general
manager Mr. Brooks (JEFFREY COMBS, star of the camp horror classic
'Re-Animator' and, more recently, 'The Frighteners') that hurricane season
has begun, and all other guests have left. The only other resort
residents are bellman Estes (BILL COBBS), cabana boy Titus (JACK
BLACK), and bartender Nancy (JENNIFER ESPOSITO, Michael J.
Fox's feisty assistant on "Spin City"). There is one uninvited guest, however, who hasn't checked in,
but plans to make sure Julie and her friends check out -- forever.
