What I've Learned from Life
DON'T PANIC!!!
These are the things I've learned so far from life, some of them are fun some
are serious, Many were learned to late to do me much good... and some at
considerable price... I hope that perhaps they can help you with problems
you may face... or just make you chuckle. Some of these are direct quotes
and I apoligize to their sources for not giving credit but these are the
lessons of a lifetime, from my own head not from a book. So remove your
cloak weary traveler, sit, put up your feet, have a coffee or prehaps I can
tempt you with some brandy, light your choice of tobaco product, if this is
your way, and let me share with you my meager wisdom...
1. People we care for Pass away.
2. People grow, People change, and sometimes this means growing apart.
3. No matter how much we care for someone. No matter how much we'd like to,
we simply cannot change the first two rules.
4. If you would live, live fully. If you would love, love completely.
5. Love makes you do the wacky.
6. There is no rule no six.
7. Always fight the good fight. (see 8&9)
8. The good fight is the one you win. (see 7&9)
9. Any fight you survive, you win. (see 7&8)
10. Don't Panic.
11. The greatest trick the darkness ever pulled was convincing man it didn't
exist.
12. The greatest weapon in the arsenal of monsters is the scorn by which
the adult mind meets them.
13. If you ever find your self forced to say "Klatu, Verata, Nicto" don't
fudge it, magic dosn't work that way.
14. Never insult seven men if all you have is a six-shooter.
15. When someone says "it's not the money, it's the principle of the Thing",
it's the money.
16. Always, work today to be better than the person you were yesterday, and
if you do this, nobody can find fault with you.
17. Nobody ever takes good advice.
18. When someone gives you advice you don't like it's not because they want
to bring you down, it's because they truely care about you and don't want to
see you get hurt.
19. The answer is 42...
20. Maybe, if we could get rid of our passion, we'd know a moments peace,
but then we would be empty, hollow, only then would we be truly dead.
21. Life goes on... for most of us, anyway.
22. Never trust a man who says "trust me"... you'll just have to trust me on
this one.
23. Monty Python had the right idea when they said "and now for something
completly diffrent..."
24. Life is pain, anyone who tells you diffrent is selling you something.
25. That which does not kill us, makes us stronger.
26. Every now and then look straight up, most people don't and the darkness
knows it.
27. Living well is the best revenge.
28. Every rose has it's thorns.
29. Women are like roses and predatory cats, proof that all things beautiful
are also dangerous.
30. Never agree to anything you didn't hear.
