In this episode it shows Gabrielle undergoing the amazon purification ritual. Then it shows Xena singing far away and it is snowing. Her voice falters and Ares shows up. He convinces her to go after Gabrielle, he say "Do you know what to do?,who to kill" Then it shows Gabrielle and Callisto, Callisto is convincing Gabby that all that has happened is Xena's fault. The next scene shhows Xena coming into the Amazon village, she manages to gull Gabrielle by the feet after her, pulling her mercilessly through through,rocks,water and more. When Xena reaches a cliff over the ocean she dismounts an unknown horse and lifts Gabrielle over her head. Xena yells,Gabrielle come too. She kicks Xena in the head knocking both of them onto the ground. They start a verbal fight and fall over the cliff. It then shows Xena and Gabrielles separate journeys into Illusia,they each go through rivers with Holyph talking in the background about water and rebirth.Illusia is a magical, musical land. Where Xena ends up is a dark place with Ares in charge, it is full of soldiers. Eventually Gabrielle ends up in Potadia.There is singing on both sides, each side is urging Xena and Gabby to try and kill each other, Xena wins fast, after some song and dance involving Xena and Ares, Ares sings, Callisto comes to. Xena say, in a sad,unbelieving,child-like vioce, "I killed Gabrielle." Gabrielle show up and said "You killed me" After some talk they are transported to a ruins, where wherever the mention the past their vioces echoe and they can't hear one another, There is accusations through vioce and song. Then a firey stream comes out through a floating screen with a red, chakram-like disc in it, and starts pulling Gabrielle into it, She calls for Xena. Xena comes, but cannot pull Gabrielle out. Xena is also pulled in. They end up in Dayhak's temple, Gabrielle is on the altar, the place where it all started in Gabby's words.Here is where Xena and Gabrielle figure it all out, and after all their lies and secrets are told, Xena is able to pass through a waterfall to join Gabby, she could not at first because Gabrielle did not know that Xena had lied about killing Min'Tien. When Xena and Gabby firdt saw the other side of the waterfall{before they went through it}Solan was there, when Gabrielle crossed over Solan disapearred. Xena's secrets are told{because Min' Tien is there} Solan appears, Xena and Gabby forgive each other. Solen knows now that Xena is his mother because of a song she sang, they hug, the scene changes and Gabrielle and Xena are hugging, then, because they are in a shallow part of the sea, they lay back and play with in the waves.
