Autolycus wants to steal the statue back to maintain his reputation as the king of thieves after a statue of Pax the goddess of peace is stolen. Autolycus talks Xena into doing things the "Autolycus way". That means acting really weired and freaking people into showing them where the statue is. Xena and Gab act like they want to buy the statue from the man that is selling it. Turns out this is the same guy that killed Autolycus' brother,his name is Tarsus. Autolycus goes after him,to avenge his brother but Xena convinces him not to kill. He gets the staute back in the end and makes Tarsus look like a fool
