Clothing and Adornments

1.
A woman should be concealed, for when she goes out the devil looks at her

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar:
Allah's Apostle said, 'Allah will not look at the person who drags his garment (behind him) out of conceit.'

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar:
The Prophet said Allah will not look, on the Day of Resurrection at the person who drags his garment (behind him) out of conceit. On that Abu Bakr said, "O Allah's Apostle! One side of my Izar hangs low if I do not take care of it." The Prophet said, 'You are not one of those who do that out of conceit."

Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (or 'Abul Qasim) said, "While a man was walking, clad in a two-piece garment and proud of himself with his hair well-combed, suddenly Allah made him sink into the earth and he will go on sinking into it till the Day of Resurrection.
(Bukhari)

Narrated Ibn 'Umar:
A man asked, "O Allah s Apostle What kind of clothes should a Muhrim wear?" The Prophet, said, "A Muhrim should not wear a shirt, trousers a hooded cloak, or Khuffs (leather socks covering the ankles) unless he cannot get sandals, in which case he should cut the part (of the Khuff) that covers the ankles."

Hazrat Ibn Abbas(RAA) relates that the Holy Prophet SAW told us:
"Wear white clothes for they are the best of all clothes and use them as shrouds for your dead."
(Imam Daud and Tirmizi)

Hazrat Samurah(RAA) relates that the Holy Prophet SAW said:
" Wear white clothes because they are the purest and cleanest, and also shroud your dead in white cloth."
(Imam Nisai and Hakim)

Murjanah reported: Hafsah daughter of 'Abd al-Rahman b Abu Bakr, came to visit Aishah, wife of the Prophet SAW. Hafsah wore a thin headcover. Aishah tore it off and gave her a thick headcover to wear.

Abu Hurairah reported to women who are wearing clothes but are naked are themselves strayed from the right course and misguide their husbands too. They shall not go to Paradise, nor even smell its scents, even though the sent of Paradise comes across a path traversed in five hundred years.

Ibn Shihab reported that the Apostle of Allah SAW once woke up at night and looking towards the sky said; "This night the Lord has many treasures opened out and many a mischief have happened, There are many women who are wearing clothes in this world but will be naked on the day of Judgment. Awake these occupiers of the apartments (women) to spend the night in prayer."
