Knowledge

1.
The Messenger of Allaah (saw) said: " He who treads a path in search of knowledge, Allaah will direct him to tread a path from the paths of Paradise, and the angels would accord welcome to the seekers of knowledge, and all that is found in the heavens and the earth and even the fish in the depth of the water seek forgiveness for the scholar. The superiority of the scholar over the worshipper is like that of the full moon at night over the rest of the stars. Verily the scholars are heirs of the Prophets, who leave behind neither Dinar nor Dirham, they only leave knowledge as their heritage: so whoever acquires it has acquired a huge fortune."
(Saheehul Jaami #6297)

"Let whoever ascribes to me something that I have not said occupy his seat in Hellfire."
Bukhari

3.
Allah will not cause the (religious) knowledge to die out by snatching it away from the people. Knowledge will die out as a consequence of the death of the knowledgeable. When no (religious) scholars are left, people will take unlearned people as leaders. When they (these leaders) are consulted, they will give verdict without knowledge. Thus they will go astray and lead the people astray.
Bukhari

4.
"The example of guidance and knowledge with which Allah has sent me is that of abundant rain falling on the earth. Some of it is fertile soil that absorbs the water and brings forth vegetation and grass in abundance. Some is hard rock that holds the rain water and makes it possible for people to use it to drink from, give to their animals and to irrigate the land. Some is loose sand (barren) that neither holds water nor brings forth vegetation. The first is the example of the person who comprehends Allah's religion and gets benefit from what Allah has revealed to me so he learns it and teaches it. The (last is the example of a) person who does not heed the message and who does not accept Allah's guidance with which I was sent."
Bukhari

5.
The messenger of Allah (SAW) took care to choose the proper times to preach to us lest we got bored.
Bukhari

6.
The permissible (halal) is clear and the forbidden (haram) is clear but in between there are some ambiguous matters about which many people have no knowledge. He who avoids these ambiguities saves his religion and honour. He who falls into them is like a shepherd allowing his sheep to graze around protected land: they may get into it at any moment. Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body (that dictates it's well being): if it is good (reformed) the whole body is good; if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. This (piece of flesh) is the heart.
Bukhari
