The following is an email I received through my subscription to "londonmuslims.com". It is from Kellogg's in response to a question about pork in their products.

Thank you for contacting us online. We appreciate your interest in our company.

Below you will find information for the products that contain animal ingredients. All other products are free of any animal ingredients.

The gelatin used in Kellogg's products are derived from either pork or beef. The following Kellogg's products use gelatin as part of their ingredients.

1) POP-TARTS Danish, POP-TARTS Snak Stix and KELLOGG'S MINI-WHEATS cereal-beef

2) KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES SQUARES Cereal Bars, Marshmallow Blasted FROOT LOOPS - pork

3) KELLOGG'S FROSTED POP-TARTS - pork or beef.

Note:KELLOGG'S FROSTED POP-TARTS product use either pork or beef gelatin.

It is possible to determine which one has beef gelatin by referring to the carton side panel which reads "Imported by" whereas the packages that read "Made for" contain pork gelatin. This convention is applicable to the frosted variety of KELLOGG POP-TARTS only. The danish and snak stix are as listed above.

Should your diet restrictions indicate avoidance of pork and/or beef gelatin, we suggest you try our other cereals, cereal bars, waffles or unfrosted POP-TARTS (apple cinnamon, blueberry or strawberry flavours).

We hope this information is useful to you.

THE BEST TO YOU!!
