DAVID TAO/陶吉吉!

Wei! Welcome to David Tao Webpage!....well, my first impression of David was not really a good one...it was back in December of 1998 and saw a CD on the rack at the local CD shop and there was this really ugly looking CD with a blurry blue cover.... took a look at it and didn't touch it again. Next thing I was chatting with e-mail and ICQ friends and not one person had a bad thing to say about this "ugly blue album"; but I was just lazy and skeptical STILL....! Then sometime in mid-February I was itching to buy this "David Tao" album and knowing my luck it was out-of-stock! Sucks, man!.....hehe...and to this day I had to wait until Jan of 1998 to finally get my hands on a copy of David's debut album "Taoism" and was it EVER worth the wait!! It is truly an honour for Chinese pop to have such a talented bona fide R&B singer/songwriter/lyricist as David. Anyone who does not own a copy of David Tao's debut album does not know what they are missing; truly a work of art!:) Since this is a new page, I need info and pics badly of my new idol David Tao, so please help me if you can by contacting me! Thank you!

    DAVID'S DISCOGRAPHY

Wah! This is David Tao's (陶吉吉) debut album released in December 1997. This album is highly impressive, sparking me to devote a webpage to this ulta-talented new artist! On this album, David composes his own songs songs after being stuck in the "backstage" in Taiwan and it was well worth the wait to hear him finally in the limelight! I can honestly say that David is one of the finest male singer right now ever from Taiwan...absolutely exceptional voice and technique and if you don't give this album a try you don't know what you are missing! David does his own music, lyrics, backup vocals, and arranges as well which as applause-worthy! Every song on this debut album "Taoism" is fantastic. My favourites are "Airport at 10:30" (機場10﹕30), "Spring Wind" (望春風) which is done half in Hokkien dialect, "Beach" (沙灘), "Yes No Song" (是是非非) and "Do I Do I" (心亂飛)....very easy listening but are sentimental!...David also tries a rock style song showing his "Sting" influence in the song "Bastard" (王八蛋). David has attracted the attention of star producer Jim Lee which guarantees great music....a great album besides from poor album concept design..alot of unflattering pictures and image consulting:( David really knows how to communicate himself well through his music and every single note he songs is pure magic!:)
