Adam's True Story
It was my 2nd day of doe hunting and I hadn't gotten anything yet. As we
entered the woods after moving from place to place, my brother spotted two
deer about 70 yards away that moved down the side of a hill. We followed them
as they went to the bottom of a field so we stood at the top which was about
170 yards down. They were walking through a little brush but too much so that
we couldn't get a clear shot. The first deer ran into the woods to the left as
the other deer followed slowly. I picked out a spot in my 4 power scope and
waited til the deer walked into my sights. Right when she did I pulled the
trigger of my 30/30 and she fell instantly! I was so excited. It was my first
deer. She weighed about 120 lbs. so we got 50 lbs. or so of meat off of her.
