The Therapy Delusion

This Joke has gone Too Far!
There has always been a joke that psychiatrists cannot tell who is sane and who is crazy. Today, with MPD diagnosis being given out wholesale to thousands of patients by therapists, it is no longer a joke.

What is worse, therapist propaganda has convinced much of our culture that psychiatry knows what it is doing. A jury in Houston recently failed to find that a psychologist's treatment of her former patient for MPD constituted malpractice.

Psychological theory has such widespread public acceptance that only one juror sided with the wife of a Shell Oil engineer who claimed she had been harmed by this therapist.

One of the jurors, an engineer with Phillips, said the jurors couldn't blame the therapist for things which the patient's family had caused. It is clear from this statement, that this jury did not understand the nature of recovered memory brainwashing which makes parents into scapegoats through therapist suggestion.

It is as if the lunatics were running the asylum.

What if a therapist was to diagnose a client as being a vampire or a werewolf? Suppose other doctors had previously made this same diagnosis? The patient had for years acted out this perceived identity. People testified in court to this fact. Other experts told the jury about how such are created and how they react during the full moon.

Further suppose the patient thinking that life is hopeless for someone with such an identity and therefore attempts suicide eleven times.

Would a jury presented with these facts agree with the therapist diagnosis as they did in the case in Houston? In a sense, they already have.

Would the jury be able to go against the strong psychological programming which all of us receive throughout our lives and could they buck the prevailing therapy groupthink? It is a valid question.

Delusions are very prevalent in our society today. The recent jury decision shows the extent of psychological brainwashing as well as psychological error which is affecting all of us. The mental health care providers have lost contact with reality and this entire industry can be said to be in collective psychosis.

Delusions occur when we exchange our God-given common sense for expert opinion which is not based on truth. Theory and opinion are not science nor empirical fact just because a majority has accepted and run with it, or because it sounds right.

To avoid such delusions today, one must place a love of truth above all else to be able to know it.
