Jazz House was formed by local Jazz great, Jeff Goodspeed, who saw in us the potential musicians of the future. He wanted to nurture our creative and musical talents by offering group "lessons". We get togther every other weekend at "Jeff's" to rehurse. Jeff then offers pointers and ideas as to where we could improve as musicians. This was two years ago. We still go to "Jeff's" but have started to take on our own endevours aswell. We have subsiquently become friends and avid musicians, we all are looking down that gruling route for the future.
We are Jazz House.
We are from Halifax, NS and are reletivly new on the
scene. We are all students at two of Halifax's most populated High Schools,
entering into grade 11 next year. All, save our bass player from Sackville.
We play as often as we can out and about, we recently preformed at Halifax West's
gradution and we are perfect for laid back kinda jazz. All the standarts, and Funk
is our repitoire. We recorded an album in December 1996, nine tunes, you'd know
most of 'em. And in May we traveled to Ottawa to MusicFest '97, comming back with
silver. We have played at various functions and dinners, and look foward to
playing more.
