Missing You
was written is memory of my friend Andrea Mettler

They told us on the intercom that you'd died,
we were offered comfort as we all cried.
Even some boys broke down and wept,
as the janitor silently swept.
We remember you and get tears in our eyes,
a few of us just sadly sigh.
You were so young,
your life had hardly begun.
Our lunch table seems empty without you there making us laugh,
now we just stare.
Sometimes we'll think we see you in the hall,
but it's really not you at all.
It's been four months now,
we all miss you still,
and will until the time when we die,
and reunite with you and others we've lost.
