Some interesting bunny facts:
- Lifespan is 7 - 15 years. Larger breeds tend to live longer than smaller ones.
- Rabbits are not rodents. They belong to the order Lagomorpha.
- Rabbits can be litterbox trained.
- Rabbits need fresh, clean water daily.
- In addition to pellets, rabbits need timothy or alfalfa hay.
- Fruits and veggies should be given in small amounts weekly.
- NEVER pick a rabbit up by its ears. Doing so can injure your rabbit.
- Rabbits love freedom. Let them out daily for at least an hour to hop around and
- Their claws grow continously, so they may need to be trimmed periodically.
- There are dozens of different rabbit breeds. Rabbits come in many colors and can weigh from about 3 to 15 lbs. Mixed breeds make just as good a pet as a purebred.
