Lisa Kudrow will host the 1999 MTV Movie Awards, which will be held June 5 in Los Angeles. It will be shown June 10 on MTV.

Courteney Cox Arquette's awaited movie "The Runner," never did come to theaters, but is now on video at Blockbuster here in the US. The cover looks cool. The movie also stars: Ron Eldard ("Men Behaving Badly," "Bastard Out Of Carolina"), John Goodman ("Roseanne," "The Babe") and Joe Mantegna ("Bugsy," "House of Games," "Godfather III"). The story involves an addicted gambler.

Warner Bros. Television and Friends star Jennifer Aniston meanwhile, are developing a spec script based on Gary Goldstein's play "Parental Discretion,'' about an outspoken father who moves in with his gay adult son. Aniston will serve as an exec producer, while her father, John (''Days of Our Lives''), is attached to star in the project if it goes to pilot.
