SCARLETT TURNS 50
The ever-popular Ms. Scarlett turned 50 today
(Feb. 20, 1999). It is said that she is in
seclusion at Tara but I have just been
granted a personal interview with Ms.
Scarlett and this is her itinerary for today.
Ms. Scarlett informed this reporter that she
is having an early dinner with friends in
Georgia and will be jetting to New York City
where she will celebrate her birthday with a
select group of friends at the Rainbow Room.
At this time the guest list is guarded and
one can only speculate if Mr. Rhett Butler
will be there. Informed sources at the
Rainbow Room say that special security
measures have been taken and that the menu is
top secret. We can rest assured there will be
no radishes or turnips on the menu. When
queried as to what she was planning to wear
this evening she uttered "fiddle dee dee – I
will worry about that later," and glancing
around the room at the window décor
continued, "I just might whip something up
here now." This reporter will be reporting
live from the Rainbow Room this evening and
might I add Ms. Scarlett does not look a day
over 49.
