This is me on top of Mt Washington on September 10, 2000!
I was a student at University of Maine at Farminton where I was an International Studies major. As part of my major, I had to study abroad for atleast one semester. During the spring of 1999, I studied at Universit¨¦ du Maine in Le Mans, France. For the spring semester 2000, I studied at the Komi State Pedigoligical Institute in Syktyvkar, the capital of the Komi Republic in northern Russia, where I met my wife.
On June 28, 2000, I married Natalia Gennadievna Toropova of Syktyvkar, Russia. Not only did I become a husband, but I also became the father of Gennadi Vladamirovich Beaulieu, the best 8 year old Russian son a person could ask for. Natasha was an English teacher at KSPI, where she graduated in June 1997. She is the daughter of Gennadi and Svetlana Toropovie. She has one sister, Lida, who lives in St Petersburg.
I love to spend time with my family. My sister Stephanie is 29, and my sister Jill is 10. I am very close to all my family members, especially my grandmother. At some point in the future, I hope to have my Family Geneology available to add to my web site as well. It is really quite interesting!!
I was born Bobby (NO, NOT Robert!!) Leavitt Beaulieu, on Wednesday, September 13, 1978 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine. I was born at 5:56am at 6bls. ?oz. I was ? inches long. I prefer to say my name the correct way, which is the way my name would be said by a native french speaker. My middle name comes from my great-grandfather, Levite Beaulieu. It was the city clerk who added the 'a' and an extra 't' to my middle name.
I am a devoted christian and a member of the Upland First Church of the Nazarene. We have been members there since fall of 2001. I also work there at the present time. I am an Administrative Assistant and I began my career at the church on August 5, 2002. At UMF, I was activly involved with Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship. IVCF has grown tremendously just in the past two years. There are now about 100 students who are involved with IVCF and the weekly meeting on Wednesdays has a normal attendance of about 60. It is great to be able to get together with other Christian students and share the Word of the Lord with each other. I think it is very important to note that one does NOT need to be a christian to attend the weekly meetings, and in fact there are several non-christians that attend! It is great to see God's grace in action!! I was not brought up in any chuch, but was not a stranger to one either. The Church of the Nazarene has played an important role in my family's life since 1988. I was babtized by Reverand Gary O Sinclair, former pastor of the Auburn Church of the Nazarene, on August 8, 1990, at Dunn's Camp in Poland, ME. Last year, when we first moved here to southern California, I was a teacher at Upland Christian high school, which is sponsored by our church. And Natasha works at our pre-school, Eagle's Nest.
