The Perfect Birthday

I woke up Saturday morning with the sun shinning on my face. It was November 16th. Weirdly warm outside. It was about 75 outside. I was surprised. Anyway, I got out of bed, stretched and smiled. I heard my dad whistling in the kitchen and my brother in my parents’ room watching TV. My mom was making my dad coffee. Hey. My name is Christina Stern. I’m seventeen, but today I’m eighteen. I live in Florida and I love it here. I was born in Connecticut in a small town called Farmington. I have dark blonde hair, blue eyes and I’m kinda small. I wear glasses too. I feel smart with them even if people call me four-eyes. It doesn’t bother me. Anyway, on with my story.
“Good morning,” I smiled walking into the kitchen.
“Good morning sweetheart,” my mom smiled walking over and hugging me.
“Good morning funny bunny,” my dad smiled doing the same.
“Happy birthday,” they smiled.
“Thanks. Personally, I think today is going to be somewhat boring. I don’t know why. No one is home,” I said sitting down in a chair. My mom served me one cup of hot cocoa and two pancakes. I smiled and the scent filled my senses.
“Well, what do you want to do today?” My mom asked.
“Sit around I guess. I normally have fun doing that,” I smiled.
“Okay. We’ll let you have your space today,” my dad smiled.
“Thanks,” I smiled. I got up and left the kitchen. I walked towards my room and to my left, to my mom and dads room, where my brother, Josh, was. He’s eighteen. “Hey Josh,” I smiled.
“Hey, “ he said still focusing his attention on the TV. I cleared my throat.
“Oh! Sorry! Happy birthday,” he said, looking at me. He then focused on the TV again. I giggled and left to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth.
When I finished, I walked into my TV room. I looked at the clock and it read 10:15 AM. I smiled, got out a video game and began playing.
When I looked up and the clock again it read 12:10 PM. I was surprised at how long I played the video game for. I shut it off and got up to turn my computer on. As I let it load I walked into the kitchen to get a cup of Root Beer.
I walked back and my Yahoo! Messenger was loaded and said I had five new email messages. I smiled and opened my email and made my status say “TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!! YAY!!” There weren’t many people online. No one I really talked to anyway.
Anyway, I opened my email and saw five emails from people I knew. Three of them were cards. One was a forward that I just deleted without reading. I looked at the three cards and smiled at how cute they were. They were from my friends Alissa, Olivia and my best friend, almost sister, Ally. The email was from Nick. I quickly opened it thinking, “Nick? E-mailing me! Wow this is a first!” The email looked short. Which it was. It looked like it was just sent too. I read it. It said: Christina, be ready for a phone call at 12:30. Love always, Nick
I looked at my clock and it read 12:25. I jumped. “Oh my God!” I whispered. I didn’t answer the email, I put it into a folder and closed my email. No one was online so I got off the computer. I got on my couch and turned on the TV. Ever minute I looked at the clock to see if time had passed.
Suddenly the phone rang. I jumped off the couch to pick it up. On the way to the phone I tripped, but still picked it up.
“Hello?!!!” I asked excitedly.
“Look outside,” the caller said. I stood up and looked outside. There he was, standing on my driveway, leaning against a limousine. It was Nick. Nick Carter. I hung the phone up and opened my house door. He walked over. He hugged me tightly.
“Happy birthday Christina,” he whispered into my ear. “Nick. Oh my God I can’t believe you actually came!” I said almost in tears.
“It’s not me alone,” he grinned. Four other people came out of the limousine. AJ, Brian, Howie then Kevin.
“Ears!! Bear!! Ducky!! Daddy!!” I smiled hugging each one of them.
“Happy birthday,” they all smiled.
“Do you want to come inside?” I asked.
“Sure,” Howie smiled. I lead them inside.
“Mom! We have company! Dad put some clothes on for craps sake!” I yelled. My mom came out of the kitchen drying her hands.
“Oh my goodness!” She gasped. My dad walked behind her. “Hello Mr. and Mrs. Stern. I’m Nick Carter. This is AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson, also known as, the Backstreet Boys,” Nick smiled introducing them. I smiled as Nick took my hand in his.
“We would like to know if we could take Christina for the day and maybe even tomorrow,” Kevin spoke.
“Sure! It’s Christina’s day!” My mom answered. My eyes lit up.
“Thank you mom! Thank you dad!” I said hugging them. “I gotta go get dressed first!” Nick smiled as I ran to my room. He began to follow, but Brian and Howie stopped him, nodding.
Five minutes later, I walked out of my room wearing a blue shirt that made my eyes stand out and a pair of jeans with my funky looking shoes that look like blue space boots. I had my cute gold “Backstreet Boys” necklace on.
“Nice necklace,” Nick grinned.
“I’m sure that’s what you were looking at, because I know I wasn’t,” AJ grinned. Kevin elbowed him. Nick blushed and so did I. My parents laughed and said goodbye. The guys and I left the house and they lead me to the limousine. Nick opened the door.
“After you, my sweet lady,” he said, bowing and taking my hand then kissing it. I smiled and climbed in. Nick followed me and AJ followed him. Kevin, Brian and Howie sat on the other side. The limousine started and pulled out of the driveway. Nick put his arm around me and I leaned closer to him. He smiled. Just then, I realized what he had done to his hair. I sat up giggling.
“Nickerz, what in the hell did you do to your hair?” I giggled.
“He didn’t brush it,” Brian snickered. I giggled again.
“Spike it,” I said. Nick rose an eyebrow at me.
“Spike it!” I smiled.
“Okay,” Nick said with a little laugh. He brought out the mirror and gel and looked at AJ.
“All right, all right,” AJ said rolling his eyes. He spiked Nick’s hair for him.
“Good. Very sexy,” I giggled. Nick blushed and I leaned against him again.
“God! Now I look like I jizzed on my hands!” AJ groaned.
“You probably did,” I snickered.
“Hehehe funny girl,” Brian laughed. They all laughed except AJ.
“What the hell are you trying to say here Stern?” AJ asked with a I’m-Offended-Give-Me-Some-Explaination tone. I laughed.
“I’m just gonna say, HORNY!” I replied. Everyone bust a gut laughing. AJ just frowned.
We arrived at a restaurant. AJ opened the door and climbed out, Nick let Howie, Kevin and Brian go before us.
“You guys go, we’ll be there in a minute,” Nick said. The others nodded and walked into the restaurant. He shut the limousine door and turned to look at me, grinning. I looked back at him. He moved closer to me. “Christina, I’m 20, you’re 17--uh...18, and well, that’s still a little gap, but I love you anyway. You’re my life, my life, my everything,” he said taking something out of his pocket and then taking my hands. He opened the little box and showed me a silver ring with I Love You 4 ever engraved in it. He showed me the same one, only on his finger.
“Be my girlfriend. It’s a promise ring,” Nick said looking me in the eyes. I looked at him, then at the ring.
“I...I don’t know what to say,” I said still speechless.
“Then say yes,” Nick smiled. I looked at him and smiled.
“Yes!” I said with a little laugh. Nick’s eyes lit up and he took the promise ring and put it on my left ring finger. Then he looked at me and leaned his face closer to mine. I closed my eyes and he kissed me. I kissed him back and then a few seconds later, he pulled away, smiling.
“I love you Christina,” he whispered.
“I love you too Nick,” I smiled. He opened the door, got out and reached his hand inside the limo for me to take. I took it and climbed out. We walked into the restaurant hand in hand. The guys just smiled at us.
“Let me guess, Romeo and Juliet?” Brian snickered.
“You could say that,” Nick grinned. We sat down. Nick and I had one hand under the table, but together they made two. They were interlocked.
Just then I heard someone calling my name. I turned around and saw Alexis Rabinz. She was a bitch and didn’t believe me when I said I was dating Nick Carter. No one believed me.
“Christina!” She called. I rolled my eyes and turned around.
“Hey Tasha,” I smiled as she walked over.
“Happy birthday,” she said in a jealous tone.
“Guys, this is Alexis, Alexis, you know who the Backstreet Boys are. And oh yeah, my boyfriend Nick Carter,” I smiled.
“Boyfriend? Can you say UNREALISTIC?” Alexis said, pure jealous.
“Can you say, JEALOUS?” I answered her letting go of Nick’s hand and standing up.
“I am not jealous,” she lied.
“Liar! You’ve always been a stuck up bitch. Why don’t you go suck some dick and leave me alone okay? You just can’t handle the fact that I can actually get a boyfriend, who’s famous might I add, and who actually likes me! Unlike you, you little slut,” I shouted. Her eyes filled with tears and she ran out of the restaurant. The guys looked at me with wide eyes.
“We’ll know never to piss you off,” Nick grinned.
“You? Piss me off? Ha! Never!” I giggled sitting down. Nick took my hand again.
We all ordered our lunch and soon it came. We finished it and left to get our day started.
“Do we have plans for today, or are we just gonna do this as the day goes by?” I asked.
“We’ve got plans,” AJ grinned.
“When AJ answers, I get scared. Nick, I’m scared,” I said only half joking.
“Aww... Baby don’t be scared. We’ve got plans, but I made sure there is some special time for me and you,” Nick grinned.
“Good,” I said grinning evilly. Nick gently poked my side and I giggled.
“Ticklish I see,” he smiled.
“I only told you 8 times!” I giggled. Brian rolled his eyes.
“Okay, where are you guys taking me?” I asked with a giggle.
“That’s for us to know and you to find out. But it’s a long ride, so think of something to talk about or do or something,” Brian answered. I groaned.
“I don’t like long car rides...” I whines. The guys laughed.
“Ha! She’s just like Nick! A whiner!” AJ laughed. I ignored his comment. Nick put his arm around me and I leaned closer to him.
“Can I move over there, or sit on the floor by you guys? These two are gonna like, have sex, and I don’t want to be part of it,” AJ said squirming around.
“Oh by why not AJ? It will be fun,” I joked, playfully rubbing his arm. He shuddered and moved away. Nick and I laughed.
“God that’s really fun to do,” I giggled. Nick moved and leaned against the door. It was locked. I leaned against him.
“What time is it Daddy?” I asked Kevin.
“1:30,” he answered.
“Okay, wake me at 2:45,” I answered.
“Okay baby,” Nick said. I leaned my head against his chest and closed my eyes. Nick put his arms around me and tucked his hands under mine. He kissed the top of my head.
At 2:45 Nick woke me up by whispering in my ear. The other guys were asleep.
“Baby, wake up. I’m lonely,” he whispered. I opened my eyes.
“Aww...” I smiled. I kissed him sweetly and he kissed back. I reached behind him and gently scratched the back of his neck and he rubbed my back.
We had a good make out session going until AJ woke up. He opened his eyes and rolled his eyes.
“Oh boy, here it comes. They’re not gonna be asleep much longer.... Nick! Stop! You’re gonna make her have an orgasm!” AJ exclaimed. Nick stopped kissing my neck and glared at AJ. I grinned at Nick. He grinned back thinking exactly what I was. He kissed me and we played tonsil hockey. I climbed on top of Nick and gently scratched the back of his neck and he moaned really lightly. He kissed my neck and rubbed my back. I lightly moaned and grinned at AJ. He rolled his eyes again.
“Nicky, we’re in a car...” I giggled. He looked at me.
“Didn’t stop us before,” he grinned. I turned around and sat in between his legs. He sighed and kissed the top of my head again.
Finally we got to where the guys were taking me. Disney World. I was thrilled.
“Now, was that ride worth it?” Kevin asked while stretching.
“Yes! Rides! Let’s gooooo!!” I said excitedly. They laughed.
“We’re going,” Howie said. I think they were purposely walking slowly to drive me insane. I grabbed Nick’s hand.
“I know you’re excited to go in, and if you don’t start moving I’m never kissing you again!” I said anxiously. Nick began to run and I followed behind him. We were first in line at the booth.
“Three adults and 2 children,” Kevin said only half joking.
“Hey! I’m 20 you asshole!” Nick yelled.
“Five adults,” Kevin said smiling. He got the tickets and we all walked in. I felt like a 5 year old again and so did Nick.
“We’ll meet back here at...” Brian began and looked at Nick.
“Oh! Meet back here at 7 pm for the fireworks,” Nick said.
“Okay!” We all said. Nick and I ran from the other guys.
“What you wanna go on?” I asked Nick.
“Everything!!!!!!!” He exclaimed. I giggled.
“I’m with you! Let’s start on Tower of Terror!” I said.
“Okay!” Nick agreed. We got there and the line was a 45 minute wait. Nick and I groaned. Just then the ticket person saw Nick and called us over.
“The back, go through there to get better seating and in faster,” he whispered to Nick. Nick nodded and took my hand and lead me to the back.
“Huh?” I asked looking at a door.
“I dunno, he said someone would be back here to let us in,” Nick shrugged. I smiled as the door opened. We walked into the ride and got seated.
The ride ended and we ran out. Nick and I were excited for every ride.
Seven o’clock came and we met up with the guys in front of the Ferris Wheel. Nick and I had gone everything, going in through the back for every ride. We didn’t wait at least 10 minutes for any ride! As soon as we got there someone motioned to us to go to the back. It was great.
“Let’s go to the park and get a good seat!” Nick said. The guys and I nodded and we all ran to the field to choose a seat. It was empty. Nick and I wanted to sit away from the other guys so we found a spot under a tree. The stars were out and the sun had just finished setting. Nick and I had been on the Ferris Wheel through out the sun set. Not really watching it though. (Tee-hee)
The fireworks began and Nick took my hand. I smiled and looked up at the sky as every fire work lit it up with different colors. I began to shiver from being cold.
“Cold?” Nick whispered in my ear. I nodded. He opened his legs and pulled me in between them and wrapped his arms around me.
“Warmer?” He asked. I nodded and kissed him. He heard some music and pulled away and jerked his head to the sky.
“Look!” He shouted. I looked up and a fire work shot up. It burst and it was green. There was a sign that held in the sky saying, “Happy Birthday Christina. I Love You Forever And Always! Love, Nick” And it was in a heart. The heart was red and the writing was silver and the sparks around it were green. My eyes filled with tears.
“I love you Nick!!!” I shouted over the music and fireworks.
“I love you too Christina!!!!” He shouted back. I smiled and kissed him sweetly. He kissed me back and I began to shiver again.
The fireworks ended and people got up. Nick and I just cuddled until everyone cleared. The guys came over. “Nick, that was sweet. You never told us you arranged something!” Howie smiled.
“Yeah well, my little blonde head can think up ideas too,” he grinned. I was sleepy and didn’t hear much of the conversation. Nick picked me up and we all walked out from Disney to the limousine. The day was ending slowly. I wondered if I was going to be with the guys the next day as well.
In the limousine, Nick and I were having small talk. It was little sentences, not much.
“Kevin, am I going to be with you guys tomorrow too?” I asked. He looked at me.
“Only if you want,” he smiled. My eyes lit up.
“Really?” I asked. He nodded.
“I would love to be with you guys again!” I smiled.
“Great! We’d love to have you,” Brian smiled. I looked at Nick and he was asleep.
“Awww...” I smiled. I moved a little piece of hair from his face and kissed his forehead.
We got back to my house. The car stopped. Everyone got out, except sleeping Nick.
“Do you guys want to spend the night? We’ve got enough rooms,” I asked. The guys looked at Kevin.
“It’s better than an annoying hotel room Kev,” AJ pointed out.
“True. Sure, we’d love to stay,” Kevin replied. I smiled.
“We’ll arrange rooms when we get inside. I’ll go wake Nick, you guys go on in,” I smiled. The guys nodded and walked inside. I climbed into the limousine.
“Nick,” I whispered in his ear. Nothing happened. I kissed his lips and I felt him kiss me back.
“Baby, wake up,” I said. His eyes fluttered open.
“We at your house yet?” Nick sleepily asked.
“Yes. You guys are spending the night,” I answered with a smile. Nick’s eyes lit up.
“Really?” He asked.
“Yep,” I smiled. Nick and I got out and walked into my house.
“Okay, the rooms have been arranged. Kevin is upstairs, Howie is next door to him. AJ and I are downstairs and Nick is in the extra room next to Christina’s,” Brian explained. Nick’s eyes lit up. “The extra down the hall by Kevin and Howie?” I asked. “No, downstairs,” my dad answered. Nick’s head dropped. I hugged Nick. “So AJ and I are sharing a room?” Nick asked.
“No, you and I are,” Brian answered him. Nick shrugged.
“Okay cool,” he said nonchalantly. I winked at Nick. He grinned.
“Okay you guys, bed!” Kevin exclaimed. My mom and dad had walked into their room and you could hear the classical music. I looked at the clock at it read 12:00 am. Everyone split up. Before Nick left, I grabbed his arm.
“Two o’clock am. My room. Sneak upstairs,” I whispered. He nodded. I kissed him good night and he kissed me back.
“Hey guys! Wait!” Howie called. They all turned around. “We never sang happy birthday to her,” he said. I smiled.
“He’s right,” Brian agreed. They all cleared their throats and Nick took my hand in his. They began singing and soon finished. It was the most beautiful “Happy Birthday” song I had ever heard. “Thanks you guys,” I smiled. They smiled, hugged me and left. Nick and I kissed again and then he left. I slowly walked up to my room. I changed into my PJs and got onto my computer. I wrote my daily Diary Entry and then got online. Nobody was online so I got off the computer and turned it off. I got out a book and sat on my bed.
Next thing I knew, I heard a light knock on my door. I saw Nick’s head pop in. He smiled and walked in and closed the door gently. I smiled, closed the book and put it away.
“Hey,” he smiled.
“Hey,” I smiled. I got up and walked over to him. He put his hands on my waist and looked at me with a little smile on his face. He kissed me and I kissed him back. I wrapped my arms around his neck and gently scratched the back of his neck. I heard him very lightly moan. He broke his lips from mine and gently kissed down my jaw line to my neck. He began to walk forward and we fell on the bed. Nick was kissing my neck and I moaned lightly. Slowly Nick slid his warm hands under my night shirt. I flipped us over and I sat on top of him. I pulled away from his lips and looked down at him. I sat up and took Nick’s hands from my shirt. I climbed off him.
“Baby? What’s wrong?” Nick asked sitting up. I sighed. “Nick... I love you with all my heart and you know that. I’m still a virgin,” I answered. Nick looked at me. “Nick...I’m willing to give myself to you. That’s how much I love you.” Nick’s eyes grew wide and he got up.
“I don’t want to force anything on you Chris. You know I don’t want to force anything on you. I never made you do anything and I still won’t. Only if you want to we can do this,” he said looking into my eyes. I respected him and I saw that he respected me as well. “Thank you for respecting me Nick,” I said looking at the floor. He took a finger, put it under my chin and raised my head to look at him.
“I love you Christina. I don’t want to force you to do anything and I would never hurt you. Never!” He said. I hugged him. It was the first time I had given him a real hug and I made a note to myself to hug him more often. I turned around and sat on my bed. I looked at Nick and he walked over to me, kissed me and gently pushed me down on the bed.
That night, as you can probably guess, I gave myself to Nick. I was glad that he was my first, and I was satisfied with what he had given me. Every now and then he would ask if he was moving too fast or if he was hurting me. He didn’t hurt me and he never would. It made me love him much more than I had before.
In the morning, before my parents got up, Kevin had woke the others up and noticed that Nick wasn’t in Brian’s room. Kevin, Brian, AJ and Howie walked to my room and looked in to see nude Nick and nude me lying under the covers with Nick’s arms around me. Kevin sighed and knocked on my door. I woke up and saw Kevin, gasped and covered up with a sheet.
“Nick! Wake up!” I said. He woke up and jumped at the sight of Kevin and the others at my door.
“Ahhh!! Good God Nick! Put that away!!!!!!” AJ yelled. Brian hit AJ and got him to shut up. Nick blushed and put his boxers on. I asked him to get my night shirt so he did. As I buttoned it up, I noticed Nick looking at me. I blushed and buttoned it faster.
“Guys, you didn’t......” Kevin began. “Last night, did you?”
“We did,” I said with a nod.
“Please tell me you used protection!” Kevin said acting like a father.
“You see the wrappers don’t you?” Nick answered him. He glared at Nick for talking back to him.
“Kevin don’t worry,” I said to him. “Just please, don’t mention this to my parents. They’ll flip out and never let me see Nick again.”
“We promise,” Brian said speaking for them.
“Thanks a million,” I smiled. They left. Nick got up and walked downstairs to get new clothes. I got up and walked into my bathroom and shut the door, forgetting to lock it. I undressed and got into the shower. The hot water streamed down my body. Warm water in the morning always woke me up and put me in a good mood. Nick came back upstairs and heard the shower running from my bathroom.
“Baby? You in here?” He asked.
“Yes Nick,” I answered. I washed the conditioner from my hair. He sat on the sink counter. I washed myself one more time and turned the water off. I didn’t know Nick was in the bathroom, I had thought he left. I opened the curtain and looked up and there he was with bug-eyes. I just stared at him as he looked at my naked body. I blushed and grabbed my towel. “It’s not like I haven’t seen you naked,” he grinned. “Wipe that off you face. You know I love it when you grin,” I smiled.
“That’s why I am,” he grinned. I rolled my eyes and giggled. I walked past him and he grabbed my waist and pulled me towards him. He leaned down and kissed me sweetly. I kissed him back and gently pulled away. “Excuse me, but I’d like to get dressed,” I grinned. Nick nodded his head and motioned for me go to. So I did.
Nick and I walked downstairs holding hands, to go for breakfast. We got downstairs and my parents looked at us. I looked at Brian with a Did-You-Tell-Them?! look on my face and he just nodded.
“Christina, I heard you moaning last night. Are you all right honey?” My mom said.
“Oh! I had some stomach pains. I’m okay though,” I blushed. She was only down the hall, I didn’t think she heard me. I looked at Nick and he looked back at me with a Do-You-Think-They-Know? expression. I shrugged. Nick sat down and I sat on his lap. He pecked my neck and rests his chin on my shoulder with his arms around me. My mom looked at us, tilted her head and smiled. How embarrassing. Then she ran and got her camera. Even more embarrassing!
“Smile!” She said. Nick and I smiled. That was a picture I wanted to get doubles of. Then she got a group photo of me and the other guys. Another one I wanted a double of. She used a roll of flim on us. “Mom, be sure to get doubles, or just give me the whole roll. Or hey maybe today we can get them developed!” I smiled. My mom nodded. My dad had no opinion. Nick’s hand rested on my leg. I smiled. “Kiss,” my brother said. My mom shot him a look but he ignored her.
“Kiss. Really kiss,” he pushed. Nick and I looked at each other. Nick put his hand to my face and gently kissed my lips. It deepened and Nick slowly pushed his tongue into my mouth. I returned his kiss. Slowly we pulled away smiling.
“Thank you,” my brother smiled. He had taken a picture. “You little...” I said with an evil look in my eyes. “Last picture too!” My brother laughed. I ignored him. He gave me the camera and we all left to spend another day together.
“Chris, you do know this will be the last time you’ll see us in person for a long time unless you get backstage passes to our concerts,” Kevin pointed out. I nodded sadly. We arrived at the camera developing place.
An hour later we picked up the pictures. We looked through them and smiled and our goofiness. I looked at the picture of me on Nick’s lap and just held it in my hands trying to hold back tears. I really was going to miss him. But it was official, I was his girlfriend. The day came to an end. I was saying good bye to the guys and I was crying. I hugged Kevin, then Howie, then Brian and AJ. They got into the limousine. “You have my number and all that, right?” Nick asked almost in tears himself. I nodded, crying. Nick hugged me tightly.
“I’ll miss you,” he said. I sobbed.
“I’ll miss you too Nick. I love you,” I said to him. He looked at me.
“I love you too,” he said letting tears slip down his face. He kissed me sweetly and said a final goodbye. He got into the limousine and rolled down the window. I kissed him one last time and then waved him off. I had never cried so hard in my life. The limousine drove off and tears slid down my cheeks. I fell to my knees and prayed Nick would stay in contact with me. Midnight that night I was awake and online. I had scanned the picture of me and Nick and put it as my desktop picture and put it on my website with a caption under it saying, “Nick and me on our last day together. It was breakfast and ick and the guys had spent the night. I’ll always remember this birthday I had. I love you Nick!” Suddenly a box popped up on my screen. It was Nick IM’ing me. We talked and then I had decided to go to bed.
Nick and I kept in contact, and stayed boyfriend and girlfriend. We stayed truthful to each other and saw each other almost every weekend until he started touring Europe with the Backstreet Boys. I had school, but every night Nick called and everyday I had a new email from him. It was/is a relationship that I know will last forever.
