~ GONE ~

I close my eyes and listen,
To the hushed silence.
I can almost hear your laughter,
And see your smiling face.

Memories carry me back in time,
To when I held you close to me.
Then the tears begin to flow,
And again I must face reality.

As memories fall around me like rain,
The storm rages in my heart,
And blocks the sunshine behind a cloud of pain.
The world looks dark and dreary.

We'll never know why, you had to leave,
Our tears flow, and our heart aches.
The pain will never go away,
Still in our hearts you will stay.

When the clouds fade away,
And the storm in my heart passes.
God will put a rainbow in my soul,
As a promise that life is eternal.

~ MEMORIES ~

So many memories fill my heart today,
Memories the years can never steal away.
I go to your grave, and kneel in prayer,
And the tears I shed, we all share.

The pain and loneliness, are not mine alone,
We all felt the heartaches, When God called you home.
You were so young, yet so many lives you touched,
Is that the reason, God needed you so much?

Did He know that, you were too special for this Earth?
Today, I recall the memory of your Birth.
For His garden of Angels, God called the best,
Your memory lives on, while you are at rest.
