Big old fish of Iowa

Welcome to my fishing page. Most of the fish you will see on here are catfish, and caught in Iowa either by myself or one of my family members.

I love to fish on the river late night under the stars for the big old cats.

I hope you enjoy looking at these pics as much as I enjoyed catching the fish in them hehehe. enjoy and I will post more as we catch them..... as catfishing season is here..... FINALLY.

I did it!!!!! I landed a nice cat all by myself!! This is the newest catch, I caught him on July 14, 1999. He weighs about 8lbs..... nice one hey? He is a Blue Cat and I caught him in the Iowa River, on a river chub, on rod and reel, using 10lb test line.... wooooohooooo was he fun. (Please excuse the way I look.. The river is no place to worry about hair and makeup hehehe...... this is the real me. LOL)

This is a picture of a big old bass that my son caught this spring. He is really proud of it.

This is my style of fishing, pole, bait and a nice quiet out of the way river bank and I couldn't be happier LOL

Here are a couple of shots of some really big ones we caught a few years ago, the one weighed 36lbs and was just short of 4ft long. The others ranged between 8lbs and 20lbs. Great catch for one night hey?

This is my youngest son Tony and a couple of cats he caught last summer.

Good haul for just a couple hours of pole fishing.

This is my son Tim and a nice Blue he caught on August 7,99. This one weighed about 12 lbs... very nice.

I caught twins hehehe.
