CORRIDOR NEWS
October 18, 1999

The work on the newest corridor demo is in progress. 2 songs will appear on the upcoming album (better quality of course), and there are 2 brand new songs also appearing on the demo. The bass and drum tracks are now complete.

In the studio, we're into the premixing stages of the first 8 songs. It's sounding great.

Corridor would like to apologize to all the fans and bands that showed up to the lisa's lounge show on Sept. 9th to find a cancelled show. The cancelation was due to a broken pipe that flooded the lounge with water.

Corridor is now rerecording their demos scheduled to be released several weeks ago, hoping for better quality. In the studio, however, the CD is coming great! The band is now working on lead lines for the first 8 songs, then it's off to mix. The band will then record 3 more songs to finish the album off.

Corridor played an ok show tonight at Windham's High School Homecoming. It was the biggest crowd that I had ever seen the band play for. It was the perfect setting for the band. There were hundreds of people, a giant bonfire in the back, and big mosh pit right in the midde. Unfortunately though, the sound quality wasn't all that great. The rented PA that the band used wasn't of the highest quality. Erics Vocals could hardly be heard at all, and the band didn't move a whole lot due to the crowded space from swarming fans. The band was practically hitting people with their guitars because people were so close. I think the next show will be better, but not as many people.

I'm very sorry that I have been so long since I have made many changes to the site, but Angelfire wasn't working properly for a while, and I could not enter the Web Shell.
Well, it's been a while, but Corridor has maneged to play many good shows since I've last entered a news review. Coridor played a Battle of the Bands way the hell up in Skowhegan. The band unfortunately placed 3rd.
The Demo was not released as planned, because the band was taking extra time to spiff up an older song for the release.
Corridor also played in Payson Park in Portland. They were the only Metal band there, it was quite amusing. They were both Very good show though, and the band had a great time in Skowhegan, and is hoping to play again next year. They also teamed up with Monolith from Herman. The 2 bands are working on some future shows together.

Eric has just informed me that the band is schedualing more recording time at the studio to futher the process of completing their upcoming album "Pandora's Box" to be released this winter. Also, Eric has said that they are recording a 4 song demo tape that will be available to the public at future shows. The band is not sure at this point which 4 songs are going to be released on the demo, but I assure you that they will be good ones (considering Corridor has never written a bad song to my knowledge).

Corridor put on one hell of a show today at Lisa's Lounge in Gray. Corridor raised a fairly quiet and seated crowd to the stage durring their first song (Pandora's Box). All of their fans were beating each other, and singing along to almost every song that the band played. Every body went nuts for the bands version of Method Of Groove, originally by Life Of Agony, and did more singing than Eric did on their version of This Time, also by LOA. Corridor was with no doubt the best act their, but fellow bands Silent Witness, and Ransom also put on a damn fine show.

August 2, 1999

Corridor unfortunately placed third today at the Bluntfest Finals. The band was unhappy with comments about their fans made by the judges, and the fans aren't happy about comments made about the band being talentless and unoriginal. Aside from all of that. They placed behind Ransom in first place, and Static Flash in second place. Corridor was invited to play a festival this coming Saturday, even after ranking so badly.

Corridor is back and playing shows. The band managed to take 1st place at Bluntfest today. The band will be competing in the Finals on Monday, Aug. 2, and Corridor needs all the support they can get. Hopefully, the band can gain back it's winning streak, and reclaim the tital as best competing band. Corridor has also been offered a chance to play a show in Canada. I'll have more on that.
