Descent

the lion walks down a lonely street
in sadness's sweet embrace the once king of beasts
once feared as a god
and now his pride has fallen
he no longer walks tall
striding the open plains
walking in the shadows of a overdeveloped country
he cries softly to himself
thinking of the days now past
knowing that his days are numbered he asks
why? for what have i done to endure this humility
it would not be as cruel
to do this to a creature who had only known suffering
imagine walking across the jungle
never knowing fear or hatred
killing only for food without a worry
then having all of this stripped away
and for the first time being scared and confused
you're not only dieing but your food and home is also depleted
Then comes the hatred
