Back to the River

I've been reading fan-fiction a lot lately. Several stories are about love and stuff like that, and I like that because I'm a pretty sappy person. But I've gotten onto some stories that have really bothered me. The first one (I read it a while ago) was pretty cool until the end when Taylor DIED. Being the sensitive chick that I am, I bawled my eyes out. Over a STORY. Embarrassing as that was, the story was written very well, so I overlooked it. I had to rewrite the ending for myself before I felt better, however. Well, I was surfing the net a few days ago and came across a story called ROADS. It was a weekend so I had uninterrupted reading time. I read that story from 10:00 at night til 3:00 the following morning. If you haven't read this story, I won't give it away, Let's just say that this story had some VERY disturbing material in it. I haven't been able to get it off my mind. And I can't rewrite the ending because it ended WELL, considering what happened. This story, also, was written well, and I was nearly bawling again as I read it. And it got me thinking, if things like this can happen, what is going to become of us all when Judgement Day comes? How can such evil exist in this world? I've been in a very funky mood lately any way, because my Grandpa had been sick (Rest in Peace, Grampa). The point of me telling you about this is 1) a selfish attempt to make me feel better, and 2) to tell the inhabitants of Ever Lonely Land about my new ratings system. There has to be people out there like me who would like to know what they're getting into before they read a story. Consequently, all stories posted on 77th Street will be rated by me. The ratings are as follows: A means it's your basic run of the mill fan fiction. B means it's got sexual innuendos in it (because we all get tired of hearing about sex all the time), C means it's disturbing (like the above story) and D means it's disturbing without going overboard ( aka no death, drugs, or psychological problems). Got it? Good. All fanfic writers, please be aware that if your story is on my page, it's because I think it's very cool and well written. The ratings system is NOT a grading scale. If you get a D, it's actually a GOOD thing. So don't get your feelings hurt if you get a low grade as compared to, say, a school grading system. This is different. Thanks for listening, have a nice day everyone!
