As for the work this man of rebellion and hell will do when he comes, it is already going on, but he himself will not come until the one who is holding him back steps out of the way. 2 Thess. 2:7Living Bible
First of all, nowhere in the text does it state that the 'he' is the Holy Spirit. Secondly, the text does not state that "he" is removed. But, the pre-trib rapture teachers have said, that this is the Holy Spirit doing the restraining, and since the Holy Spirit is removed, and because the Holy Spirit indwells the believer; that means the church is popped out. Thats an awful big reach. That's not at all what that text is saying. It simply says, that "he", who is not identified, is restraining the anti-christ, until "he" is taken out of the way. The Holy Spirit is called the Comforter, but never the restrainer. There is no identification of who this is, and it does not state that "he" is removed. It says taken out of the way. To assume that "he" is the Holy Spirit, and because the Holy Spirit is taken out of the way that has to be the rapture and we have to go to heaven, thats reading alot into such a simple verse. It does not say removed... but taken out of the way. Out of the way could mean stepping out of the way couldn't it? It something is coming at you, you step out of the way and let it go by.
So who else could fit this
description? Well, in the book of Jude, It
is Michael the archangel who confronts satan.
In Daniel 10:13, and angel is speaking to
Daniel...But the prince of
the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and
twenty days: but lo, Michael, one of the
chief princes, came to help me.
We find Michael the archangel again
in Daniel 12:1 And at
that time shall Michael stand up, the great
prince which standeth for the children of thy
people: and there shall be a time of trouble,
such as never was since there was a nation
even to that same time. Once
again in Rev. 12:7 And
there was a war in heaven; Michael and his
angels fought against the dragon; and the
dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed
not; neither was their place found any more
in heaven. Isn't it interesting
that in Rev. 20:1, it is an angel that casts
satan into the bottomless pit. And I saw an angel come down
from heaven, having the key to the bottomless
pit and a great chain in his hand. And he
laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent,
which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him
a thousand years.
I am not saying that the restrainer is Michael, but as you can see, 2 Thess. 2:7 does not militate that the restrainer is the Holy Spirit. But, even if he is the Holy Spirit, that does not mean that we have to be secretly evacuated.
Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptable, and we shall all be changed. 1 Cor. 15:51-52
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST trump. I know this is the favorite verse for the pre-trib rapture... but let us examine this for a moment. If it happens at the last trumpet, what happened to the first? In order for there to be a last trumpet, there must be a first trumpet. Its only common sense. Furthermore, if this does signify the pre-trib rapture, then how can this last trumpet sound before the first trumpet of Revelation? The 7th trumpet IS the LAST trumpet.
And the seventh angel sounded: and there were great voices in heaven, saying, THE KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD ARE BECOME THE KINGDOMS OF OUR LORD, AND OF HIS CHRIST, AND HE SHALL REIGN FOR EVER AND EVER. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God. Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee by thy great power and has reigned. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament; and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. Rev. 11:15-19
The 7th trumpet is the last trumpet. But in order to put all of this in perspective, we will need to further examine the book of Revelation.

Some would say that Revelations is in order...and others would say it is not. I believe that the book of Revelations is not in chronological order. It seems like each of the vials falls in a basic chronological order as do each of the seals and each of the trumpets. Each is a retelling of the same period of time the other had just told. For instance, the vials and the trumpets may not be EXACTLY the same sequences of events but they cover the same time span and all end up on the same day; the Great and Notable Day of the Lord.
The Seventh Seal, Vial, and Trumpet all end up at the same event!
The 7th Seal - Revelations 8:5 - And the angel took the censor and filled it with fire of the altar and cast it into the earth: and there were voices and thunderings and lightnings and an earthquake.
The 7th Trumpet - Revelations 11:19 - And the temple of God was opened in heaven and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightning and voices and thunderings and an earthquake and great hail.
Notice the language seems to be the same at the seventh trumpet.
The 7th Vial - Revelations 16:16-21 - And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven from the throne saying It is done. And there were voices and thunderings and lightnings and there was a great earthquake such as was not since men were upon the earth so might an earthquake and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath . And every island fled away and the mountains were not found and there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven every stone about the weight of a talent and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
The 7th vial of Gods wrath is the fierceness
of his wrath..This is when he comes taking
vengeance on those who destroy the earth.
Paul said he is going to come in flaming
fire taking vengeance on them who know not
God and obey not the gospel. So it seems the
seventh vial and seal and trumpet all concur
on the Last day. The day of the fierceness
of Gods wrath. The day of the "Last
Trump".
Trumpet and Vials seem to be nearly identical.
2nd Trumpet - Sea became blood 1/3 of all in
the sea died.
2nd Vial - Sea became blood ever soul
died
3rd Trumpet - 1/3 part of rivers and water
and wormwood fell into water.
3rd Vial - The rivers and waters became blood.
4th Trumpet - 1/3 of the sun moon and stars were smitten
4th Vial - Vial fell over the sun and it scorched men with fire.
5th Trumpet - TheBottomless pit was opened and locust released (possibly demons) Men desired death but could not die. Locust couldn't touch those who were sealed with the seal of the spirit. (The Bible speaks of the Holy Ghost being the seal of the spirit) Notice that the sealed are still here but can't be touched. We only have to fear the devils' wrath. He knows that he only has a short time.
5th Vial - Poured on the seat of the beast and they gnawed their tongues for pain because of the sores. The would seek death but not have it. But the sealed were not touched.
Seven is Gods number of completion and Six is his number for preparation for completion
6th Trumpet - Deals with Euphrates river
drying up and the armies coming across
200,000,000
strong to slay 1/3 of men.
The sixth vial and the sixth trumpet are in
preparation for Armageddon.
6th Vial - Euphrates rivers dries up
to make way for the kings of the east to
gather the whole world to battle.
Note - There are enough dams on the Euphrates River to do that right now. China is the only army with those numbers right now. The army (200,000,000 strong) will march across the Euphrates to destroy the Jews in Jerusalem. And at that time just when the seventh and last trump starts to blow we will be raptured out of this earth to meet Him in the air and continue on to the earth with Him as He pours out the fierceness of His wrath on the earth taking vengeance on those who destroy the earth. You might say "Where are the scriptures to prove that?" I intend to give those as the study continues but first we will look at the history of how the Pre and Mid Tribulation theories came about.
1800 years passed in church history and no one taught pre-tribulation rapture. The first work published on the subject was in 1812 and was entitled The coming of the Messiah in Glory and Majesty written by Emmanuel Lacunza a Jesuit priest from Chili. Lacunza wrote under the assumed name of Rabbi Benazra. The book was first written in spanish and later translated into english by Edward Irvin in 1827 in London England. By the writing and subsequent translation of this book the seeds of pre and mid tribulation and the theories of a partial rapture were sown. Lacunza first began to teach that the rapture would be before the Lords actual arrival on earth. He taught that the Lord would come in the clouds and we would go up to meet him and then go back to heaven and come later to earth. He taught after the rapture Gods judgements would take place. Then in 1830 Margaret McDonald had a vision when she was 15 yrs old. Men who interpreted her vision were not in the truth and misinterpreted her vision. Her vision said that "the very elect would be deceived. Every soul would be shaken. This is all brought on by the out pouring of the spirit. Be filled with the spirit have the light of God in you that you may detect Satin Be full of Eyes within." (Ezekiel) Rob Norton didn't believe that only the spirit filled would make it so he said she taught a partial rapture. She was actually post tribulation so she was misrepresented. Rob Norton misinterpreted. Both the secret rapture and intervening judgements were taught by Lucunza and this teaching was taught by the followers of Edward Irvin who translated Lacunzas book. Irwin and his followers led J.N. Darby who was the leader of the Plymouth brethren movement. Darby was first man to put tribulation before a seven year period. Originated with Lacunza who taught forty-five days and Darby taught seven years. The theory passed on to Ironsides and then Scofield. Scofield put foot notes in the Scofield Bible which lent great credibility to it but footnotes ARE NOT scripture. From Scofield Dakes was next (who also wrote 89 reason God is a trinity) and put footnotes in his Bible as well. Clarence Larkin took these teachings and put charts with them. (Clarence Larkin said tongues were of the devil.) This is where our Revelations teaching came from? A few of our Pentecostal brethren have picked this up and have became proficient at teaching charts. We would do well to concentrate on learning how to teach the Bible...Not someone's charts! We have done just as we have accused other denominations. We have accepted someone's teaching without serious examination. The end time is going to catch a lot of the denominal people unaware. And this is the time that revival is going to be taking place. Some people don't think that whether it is Pre Mid or Past is even an important issue. If we are caught off guard by such a time of tribulation we are going to find ourselves thrust into a state of SURvival instead of REvival.
1 Corinthians 15:51 - Behold I show you a mystery. We shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump. For the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall all be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory.
When the trumpet sounds We shall ALL be changed.
If one will go back to the "saying" that shall be brought to pass (Death is swallowed up in Victory) that is found in Isaiah 25:8. The first part of chapter 25 and all of chapter 24 are dealing with the tribulation and wrath poured out. Paul said this is the fulfillment of that scripture. That scripture is after the wrath of God. Not to the fierceness but a part of the wrath right up to Armageddon.
Revelations 10 :7 - But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel when he shall begin to sound the mystery of God should be finished as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. (Paul said I am going to show you a mystery were shall not all sleep but at the last trump the trump of God is going to sound. And at THAT TIME the mystery of God will be finished and this scripture places it "in the days of the voice of the seventh angel")
Revelations 11:15 - And the seventh angel sounded and there was great voices of heaven saying. The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of the Lord and his Christ . And he shall reign for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces and worshipped God, Saying. We give thee thanks,O Lord God Almighty, which art , and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken thee thy great power, and hast reigned . And the nations were angry , and thy wrath is come, the time of the dead, that they should be judged and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. And the temple of God was open to heaven, and there was open in Heaven .
1 Peter 5:4 When the Chief Shepherd shall appear ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. ( We will get our reward when the Chief Shepherd shall appear.)
Matthew 16:27 - For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels and then he shall reward every man according to his works. ( When he comes with his angels he will reward man of his works.)
Revelations 22:12 - Behold I come quickly and my reward is with me to give every man according as his work shall be.
Isaiah 40:10 - Behold the Lord God will come with strong hands, his arms shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him and his work before him.
When the seventh angel sounded that is when the rewards were given. When the seventh angel sounded is when we go to meet him.and we come back.
1 Thessalonians 3:14 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God even our Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
1 Thessalonians 4: 13 - 18 - But I would not have you to be ignorant brethren concerning them which are asleep that you sorrow not even as other which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord that we which are alive and remain to the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend form Heaven with a shout with the voice of the archangel, and the trump of God. (You can't separate the angel and God) And the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
The word rendered prevent in the phrase "shall not prevent them which are asleep" would be more correctly interpreted, many feel, as precede...as is "we shall not PRECEDE them which are asleep" or we shall not go before them.
The greek word "apethesis" is only used in two other instances in the Bible. Concerning the parable of the ten virgins, and in relation to a time that Paul was going to a certain town to minister.
In the parable of the virgins when the bride groom came the "went out to meet him" . The bride groom was on the way to the wedding and the met him on his journey to where they were. They met him and finished the trip WITH him.
(Acts 28:15 ) When Paul was coming to the town where the brethren were waiting for him they heard he was drawing near and went out to meet him. He was coming to where they were and they met him ON THE WAY and finished the trip back to where the had come from WITH HIM
I THES 5 But the times and the seasons brethren ye have no need that I write unto you for yourselves know perfectly that the Day of the Lord cometh as a thief in the night.
Day of the Lord and Day of Christ are the same. There is only one Lord) Day of the Lord is the last day. The day of the Lord cometh as a thief. Rapture is the day of the Lord Paul is talking about the coming of the Lord.
For when they shall say peace and safety then sudden destruction shall come on them as travail upon a women with child and they shall not escape. But ye brethren are not in darkness that that day shall over take you as a thief. For you are children of the light and children of the day and not of the night. there for let us not sleep as do other for but let us watch an be sober for they that sleep sleep in the night and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us who are of the day be sober putting on the breastplate of faith and love and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us unto wrath but to obtain salvation unto our Lord Jesus Christ..
(Seal is received through water baptism in Jesus and HG) Paul said the Lord is going to come and take vengeance on them who know not God and obey not the gospel. God hasn't appointed us to wrath but to salvation. Wrath of God is a tool to the church till the seventh one. Noah was saved by water.. compare the coming of the Lord to days of Noah
II Peter 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lust. And saying where is the promise of his coming for since the fathers fell asleep all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of that by the word of God the heavens were of old and the earth standing out of the water in the water Whereby the world that then was being over flowed with water perished: But the heavens and the earth which are now by the same word are kept in store reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and tradition of ungodly men. But beloved be no ignorant of this one thing that day is with the Lord as a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise as some men count slackness. But us long-suffering to us-ward not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance
(We are coming to the 6th day of man. Another scripture said there are 2 days in a day of rest. 2 Days of rest. I feel every thing will over with around the yr 2000.) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night to the world not the church In which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are there in shall be burned up. Seeing that all these things shall be dissolved what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved and the elements shall melt with fervent heat Nevertheless we according to his promise look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness Wherefore beloved seeing that ye look for such things be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace without spot and blameless. The day of the Lord is a day of rapture and wrath. This is the Last Day! This scripture throws off all the other theology!
Rev 16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates and the water there of was dried up that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils working miracles where in go forth unto the kings of the earth and the whole world to gather them to gather them battle of the great day of God almighty. (There getting them ready for the Battle of Armageddon) Behold I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth and keepeth his garments lest he walk naked and they see his shame. (HE STILL HASN'T COME YET!) And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
(We don't want to suffer as americans..It's OK for Ethiopia and all but we don't want to hurt and will be caught unaware! America is going to have a culture shock)
Mal 4 For behold the day cometh that shall burn as an oven and all the proud yea and all that do wickedly shall be stubble and the day that cometh shall burn them up saith the Lord of hosts that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings and ye shall go forth and grow as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked: and they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of host.
Revelations is a book of symbols Jesus isn't coming with a 2 edged sword out of his mouth thats symbolic of word of God . I believe one saves and the other judges. If the first one doesn't get you the other one will! The Preaching of 2 witness isn't fire coming out of their mouth Preaching of word of God. The false fire the antichrist calls down is false move of God. Get some eyesalve and annoint you eyes. You'll receive a delusion and be dammed if you do not receive a love for the truth
(Hey this is why it is so important! If it's the truth and you do not receive it you will be damned.!!! OK back to the word of God...
This is the message the apostles preached and the message of Jesus Christ.
Rev.14 You find the Trumpet the rapture taking place here.
Rev 7 You have this number up in heaven . When you have a number in heaven or raptured it's around seven. It follows the cosmic disturbance on the sun moon and the stars thats in 6th seal of revelations.
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints Here are they which keep the commandment of God had the faith of Jesus. And I heard a voice from the heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth ye saith the spirit that they may rest from their labor and their works do follow them. And I looked and behold a white cloud and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man having on his head a golden crown and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud. Thrust in they sickle and reap. For the time is come for thee to reap: for the harvest of the earth is ripe. (THE HARVEST OF THE EARTH IS RIPE) And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth: and the earth was reaped. And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar which had power over fire: and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle saying Thrust in thy sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth and then gathered the vine of the earth and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city and blood came out of the winepress even unto the horse bridles by the space of a thousand and six furlongs. (symbolic for battle of Armageddon. Happens at the 7th trump) This isn't going to be a secret thing every eye shall see and know what is going on. And not do anything about it were going to walk em under the soles of our feet. The day of mock an scoffers are going to be cut off. When they pray I will not hear them.

together until the harvest and in the time of
harvest I will say to the reapers Gather ye

darkened the moon into blood before the great
notable day of the Lord shall come)
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn and they shall see the son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds from one end of heaven to the other. (There is you great harvest. Right after the tribulation after the sixth seal. He gathers his elect an burns the rest in the fire.)
37 Says it will be just like the days of Noah
Luke 17:24-30 For as the lightning that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven shineth unto the other part under heaven so shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first must he suffer many things and be rejected of this generation. And as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be in the days of the Son of man. They did eat they drank they married wives they were given in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ark and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot: they did eat they drank they bought they sold they planted they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it reined fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
In that day he which shall be upon the housetop and his stuff in the house let him not come down to take it away: And he that is in the field let him likewise not return back.

Jude 14 And Enoch also the seventh from Adam prophesied of these saying behold the Lord cometh with 10 thousands of his saints To execute judgment upon all and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly commited. And of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

Enoch 1 The blessing of Enoch with which he blessed the elect and righteous who would be present on the day of Tribulation at the time of the removal of all the ungodly ones. (We would be here till that day) Peter looted to out of book of Enoch. We need to keep teaching more of the truth. There is a book...Christians Will Go Through the Tribulation. I have been in countries where saints are suffering persecution. In China the Christians were told,"Don't worry before the Tribulation you will be raptured." Then came a terrible persecution. Later I heard a Bishop say we have failed we should have made the people strong for persecution rather than telling them Jesus would come first. He said you still have time tell them how to be strong and stand when the tribulation comes. To stand and not faint. We must go and tell the people of this world that it is possible to be strong in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are training for Tribulation.
