The Red Sea

Have you ever wondered why God parted the waters of the Red Sea? I know it may seem like a silly question, we've read the book and seen the movie, and we've become very well acquainted with the story... but there is a deeper meaning...

God is God, and nothing is impossible for Him. So we must ask ourselves why. Why didn't God turn the water into dirt, why didn't God turn the water into ice, then they could have just walked over it... why didn't God just transport them over to the other side? Why didn't God evaporate the water, then have it reappear when the egyptians were in the sea bed, and why didn't God just lift up the water up into the air, then it could have come crashing down on the egyptians as well...

We know that all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 1 Cor. 10:11

Admonition equals instruction... so they were written down to teach us, I'm sure many things happened that are not written down, so what is written down must be of great significance... so the question must be answered, why did God do what He did, why did He part the Red Sea.

Because that is a symbol of our life... While walking the straight and narrow path that leads to life... there can be a wall of problems on the left and a wall of trials and tempations on the right... and the enemy is right on our back... but we must have faith and keep walking...
We cannot look or gaze at the walls of problems, nor can we continue to keep looking behind in fear of the enemy. No it is by faith we are walking, yes we can see the problems clearly on our left and right, perhaps a mountain of problems or what have you... But there they are, just by looking at them you would think they are going to come crashing down and destroy you.... meanwhile the enemy is fast upon your heels... So it is by faith you walk, trusting in God to keep the walls from destroying you and that you know He never lies, for His word is true. If you stop for too long and look at the wall of problems then the enemy may catch up to you... And if you spend all your time looking at the enemy, then you are walking backwards, and no longer are your eyes focused upon Christ.

So don't even bother staring at the walls of problems, trials and temptations on your left and your right, but when you do glance at them, stand in awe that God is keeping them from drowning you.   And you can no longer be living in fear of the enemy, Yes you can hear his roar but you cannot focus upon that. It is the voice of God you must focus upon, not that of the enemy. Truly if you spend all your time thinking of the enemy, then it could almost be a form of worship, and satan will take worship in any way, shape, or form that he can. The lion roars to paralyze their prey with fear, they are so scared they are unable to move, and make an easy kill...

We all have our own Red Sea to cross, some of you are walking through one right now. The walls are looming over your head while the enemy is roaring in your ears... But keep walking, don't look to the left or the right, dont' look back... Look at the One True Living God. Keep your eyes focused upon Him, keep trusting in Him, keep believing in Him. God is wanting to take us to that next level of faith... and yes, the more or greater your faith, the larger the walls seem to be.   God knows your breaking point, He will not allow you to be tempted more than you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also...

The promise land is within reach, you can see the fertile soil and the lush green grass. You can see the still waters and the peace and rest it holds. Do not give up, do not give in... keep walking by faith... God is wanting you to advance to the next level... until one day we may all walk upon the water, and no longer through the water

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Savior-- Isaiah 43:2-3
