These truly are perilous times
and we are
seeing men as grass growing one day and
withering the next. Now as never before, let
us labor with diligence for the redemption of
men's souls as all around the world, tragedy
after tragedy befalls and men perish without
the knowledge of Christ. Many go through the
painful throes of starvation, victimes of
famine...suffering in this life, they face
suffering in the life to come. Christless
and destitute, they wander waiting for death
to enfold them, for dying is more pleasant
than living in the daily misery of their
lives. Oh, but we must labor and fight, for
their souls are indeed precious to the Lord.
Let us rip the callousness from our hearts
and let our eyes run down with tears for the
untold multitudes who are daily dying and
being given to the caverns of hell. No price
is too high for the redemption of souls, no
sacrifice too great, no danger too looming,
for truly the hour is at hand when God's
judgements are befalling humanity and we must
work for the redemption of souls while there
is yet time. This is not the hour to argue
doctrine, to strain at gnats and swallow
camels, but this is the hour to give
ourselves to travail and intercession for
souls. Let us bow before the God of Heaven
and earth and beseech Him to show us where
and how to proclaim who He is. For the count
of the dying is growing daily... and their
agonizing screams will forever ring in our
ears if we do not make use of the time that
we have upon this earth. Oh, that we would
fear to be sinners in the hands of an angry
God and that we would keep our hearts with
diligence as we labored without ceasing for
the souls of others.
Many of the great nations are going to be
stripped of their glories in the days ahead,
and they shall howl in their nakedness, for
who shall save them from the wrath of God and
who shall stop His judgement hand. We need
to shake ourselves from frivolity and
drunknness, from compromise and comfort and
wade out into the sea of humanity, declaring
Christ with every breath we yet have. For
when we stand before Him, we will give an
account, and it won't be our bank account,
but it will be the account of how we used the
precious commodity which He has committed to
us, the truth of eternal life through Jesus
Christ. Let us rend our hearts that we can
feel, bear, and live the burden of the
Lord...let us never be satisfied again with
selfish "Christian" living. Let us throw out
the seminars on how to get rich, and let us
become poor that we may give to others, that
is become poor because we have given to
others, for when we do, many will be made
rich in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Frail
and diseased bodies all around the world
tremble and shudder with the pain of their
daily existence...do we dare to live fat in
the abundance of our wealth or shall we lay
our lives down, as He laid His down for
us?????
