Tribute to Dmitri Tertyshny

Well, Flyer Fans, we are unfortunately hit by another tragedy. Yesterday, 7/23, Russian rookie Defensemen Dmitri Tertyshny was killed in a boating accident in Canada. He is survived by his wife, Polina and will be buried in Russia..he was only 22. He is expecting a child in December. We must all band together in our sadness and in our grieving, and keep him, Gene and their families in our thoughts and prayers.

We hardly knew you, but you were already in our hearts.

As the little Russian rookie who we fell in love with from the start.

We'll never know what you could of been but we should be glad that little Dmitri showed us what was capable of always with a warm smile.

We have memories when he was playing that bring a tear to our eye and joy, for little Dmitri will always be our little Russian boy. :)

No, I never got a chance to meet Dmitri...shake his hand ro ask for an autograph. I saw him as the cute, skilled little Russian rookie defensemen that someday would be as good as Eric Desjardins or even Ray Bourque. No one could have predicted of what would happen to our dear little Dmitri... nut if there was some way, somehow we could of...you bet the FLyer fans and the team would have been there to stop it. I love him and I'll never forget him.
