After the game, me and my two flyer comrades happened to stumble upon the parkinglot of the FU CEnter (where the game was being played)where the players park and we were looking down and we saw Jean-Marc Pelletier and his girlfriend exiting the building to their car. We immediately starting yelling and screaming "hi, Pelletier! We love you! Good game!"
he looked up at us, smiled and said, "I love you too!"
Oh, tears formed in my eyes! Pelti loves us!
But it wasn't over yet... Then, Mark Eatona nd his girlfriend came out and we were yelling at him (he was injured) we're like: "Goodluck Mark! We love you!"
he turned to us and said, "Thankyou."
Last but not least, a guy came out with a cell phone and told us that Chris ALbert would be coming out and that he was wearing a black suit. Sure enough, out he came. The guy with the cell phone told us to yell at him, "WE HAVE A MUPPET!" so we did.
Albert ignored us for a few minutes but looked up at us. We were yelling at him "What's a muppet?!"
he replied in his canadian accent, "Oh, Danny will show ya!"
Somewhere in between, the guy with the cell phone ran away. So, we immediately starting appologizing to ALbert. He laughed and he's like "Take care, guys!" and we were like "Bye, ALbert! Good game!"
Truthfully, fans, it was the best night of my life!
Bye, Pelty! I'll miss you... yes, Jean-Marc Pelletier was part of the package deal that brings Keith Primeau to Philly... I'm just glad I got to tell him I loved him... anyway, let's GO PHANTOMS!

We got all but Divisek's autograph and I went up to O'Brien and said, "And next time you gotta kill Hershey!"
He smiled and said in a Canadian accent (Oh, Canadians rule!:)) he said, "Yea, we have to beat them on the scoreboard first. Then we can kill them." then he smiled again and said, "Thankyou, though."
I smiled and thanked him. God, man our Philly boys rule!
---------------------------------------------------------------- 98/99...The Philadelphia Phantoms (AHL- minor league hockey) seem to be the only hope left for Philadelphia hockey fans again this year; with a dissapointing loss in the first round again for the Flyers. The Phantoms are battling the Rochester Americans in the Western Conference Finals. With a Phantoms loss last night by the score of 6-1, this ties the series at 2 games a piece. The next game is scheduled for Sunday at 6:05 at Rochester. It will be televised on Comcast Sportsnet. LET"S GO PHANTOMS!
PHANTOMS FALL, 2-1 IN OT The Phantoms lost game 6 in the Western Conference finals lastnight to the Rochester Americans with a goal that is based on a word- against- word basis. And fan against fan. The game was scoreless untill the third period when the Phantoms scored first, but only held the lead for just a little over 2:00. With about 8 minutes left in OT, there was a scrum in front of Brian Boucher and it did appear that the puck was kicked into the net and the player did not touch it with his stick at all. The goal was reviewed and since it was in Rochester and it was in OT, the goal was allowed. Brian Boucher did not seem to agree with the linesmen and ran after him after the puck was in. I agreed also and ran into my kitchen. Did the Rochester player kick the puck in? I think so.
The Phantoms play tonight, June 1, 1999 at home. Tonight the Phantoms must win against the Americans to even the series at three games apiece. If the Phantoms do not pull off a win tonight, then they will be eliminated and all hopes of a second straight Calder Cup will be extinguished. LET"S GO PHANTOMS!
PHANTOMS GO OUT IN STYLE Yes, phans..sadly, the Phantoms loose 4-2 to the Rochester Americans. BUT they did go out in style. The Phantoms rallied from a 2 goal deficit and came back to tie the game in the second. However, Rochester scored in the early minutes of the third period and added an empty netter at the end. Even though all hopes have a repeat have vanished, the Phantoms never gave up. They kept fighting and that's really what you ask for as a phan. And that's why when the buzzer sounded, everyone in the FU Spectrum stood and applauded. Stood and applauded the memories of the three great seasons they have given us, stood and applauded the bringing of the Cup in '98...stood and applauded to say how much they mean to us in so many ways. Now, as we shed a tear, we see a light at the end of the tunnel: NEXT SEASON. And we'll be back on track, hungrier than ever before! LOOK OUT ROCHESTER! PHILLY"S GOT AN APPETITE!
The Calder Cup now resides in Providence.
99/00...PHANTOMS loose to Hershey in first round... No need to be ashamed. The boys faught a valiant fight and next season, we will prevail... the Calder Cup will return home, and the boys will do what they are destined to do...lift the beautiful Cup over their head...in front of millions of screaming Philadelphia phans... I love you boys! :)
