 PERTH WESTERN AUSTRALIA. I have lived here since 1966. With it's beautiful scenery, relaxed lifestyle and fabulous weather - Perth can't be beat. I will be adding more information about Perth and more pictures when I get them processed. For now though please enjoy these.
I took this picture from Kings Park. It's not a big city but it's suburbs spread out as far as the eye can see. The glimpse of water on the right is Swan River, the hills in the distance are The Darling Ranges.
I stood in the middle of the entrance road to Kings Park to take this photo. This is the view you have as you leave the Park. At night there are colored lights at the base of the trees lining this road and from the Kwinana Freeway(seen in picture of Perth City above) it looks beautiful. In the Park, you can wonder to your hearts content, looking at the wildflowers that bloom along the walkways. If your feeling a bit more energetic, there are bikes for hire or you can bring your own. There's playground areas for the kids, kiosk's for the hungry and thirsty. The wonderful restaurant FRASER'S is situated to the left of this photo. Many couples choose to get married in the park each year. With Perth as a backdrop - who can blame them. It's a huge park with plenty for all the family to enjoy.
Proof that I do get up early *S* This was taken near my home at about 6am. The river is the Canning River, which joins the Swan River. In the summer Canning River is great for canoist, fisherman but not for swimming. I will add more pictures soon.
