Burswood Casino and Hotel. I took this picture in the picnic area within the grounds of the hotel. Families BBQ while their children play. Situated just across the Swan River from the City. The rooms are great, the restaurants are even better. I've dined at 3 so far ~ Windows, Victorian Steakhouse and The Atrium. There's a very relaxed and outdoors atmosphere when you enter the foyer. Then there's the casino. Need I say more. Just behind the hotel is Burswood Dome, where rock concerts, motorcross, art shows, you name it, it's been held in the Dome. There's also a convention centre where shows are performed, with or without dinner included.
The Western Australian Cricket Association. Those light towers across the river, that is the WACA. Both cricket and Aussie Football is played there. Football is also played at Subiaco Oval. Perth has two football teams in the national competition. West Coast Eagles and Fremantle Dockers. Cricket season is here now but football doesn't start until March 2001.
