WHY ARE BABIES NAKED SO MUCH??
Imagine this. You walk into your living room and turn on the television, in hopes of entertainment. As soon as you sit down in the comfortable chair with the remote, your plan for enjoyment are foiled! There’s a naked baby on the screen! Yuck.
Many companies that make products for babies use this “marketing technique”. But why? Why do they do this? It is not as though people that age are going to be watching and getting anything out of these commercials. Can’t these companies figure out that there is a good deal of people that are going to be viewing these ads, and aren’t going to want to see a baby butt stuck into their world?
Generally speaking, it is not socially acceptable for people to run around naked. In fact, you can even be punished for that sort of action. So, where, exactly, do these baby companies get the idea that it would be fine and dandy to show babies naked. If everyone were naked, then it would be okay. In fact, that would be rather interesting, if everyone was naked all of the time. But, while it is still socially unacceptable, I don’t think that we should have the some of the least attractive members of the human race, babies, shown on national television.
The next people that we will be viewing naked is elderly people. They wear diapers sometimes, so why should that be any different than showing these babies naked? I certainly don’t want to see any elderly folks naked! That’s the whole point, that we shouldn’t have to see anyone naked if we don’t want to, in this particular situation that society is in at the time.
Here is my point. People have been thrown in jail for showing children naked on the internet. How is this different? Some pervert could still get a kick out of watching a diaper ad on the television, and that would be perfectly all right? I don’t think so. If there are going to be laws created to prevent such things as nakedness, then they should be constant. Either anyone who wants to be naked can be, or nobody at all.
