As we all travel down our chosen paths of life, there are special people who come in and out of our lives. Our family was truly blessed with our Mother, CPP.
I too, would like to contribute to this wonderful tribute.
Being CPP's daughter, and name sake has been wonderful. I have known my mom was special all my life. As we were growing up on Southern Hills Blvd, in Hamilton Ohio, all the kids would come to our house to have their teeth pulled. She was so kind and gentle, I think she distracted the pull-ee, so they didn't even know she was pulling their tooth. Mom was a Girl Scout Leader for my sisters troop. I remember how pretty she always looked in her uniform.....and her legs....wow.....they were gorgeous! Mom had it rough raising three kids alone. She was fortunate to have my Grandmother and Grandfather to help out, but I know it was hard on her. She never complained.....well, maybe once or twice.....but that was just because she wanted someone to do something for her, like make her a cup of coffee. Mom was never confrontational, always respectful of other peoples feelings and beliefs. Never critical, or talk down to you. Children loved her, and they knew she loved them. Whenever I get upset with someone, I hear her whisper,"Don't get upset until you hear their side of the story." If I have a dilemma, I hear her say, "Follow the Golden Rule, treat others the way you want to be treated." Or "If you don't have anything nice to say - don't say anything." Heaven help you if you ask "Where's it "at". Instantly, I catch myself saying......"Before the at!"
I'm very lucky to be able to call Cpp my mom, and I'm even luckier to have the brother and sister she provided for me. (Paula and Todd are the best brother and sister anyone could ever have....thank you mom!) Mom loved you all very much. You were there for her when she needed you and I want to thank you for bringing this wonderful lady, pleasure and love. If I could ask each one of you to do one more thing for her.........do a random act of kindness for someone, and when you do, look up to the heaven above and blow her a kiss.
JR-CPP........wishes you all love and "Happy Daisies".
.....and when you get the chance to sit it out or dance........I hope you
Dance.....
You inspire me, the way you make me feel inside, you're amazing. How are you to know that you are my hero? To put it plain and simple, you are wonderful.
I am so proud to be CPP's granddaughter. She is a kind, loving and strong woman. She loved to the core. She raised 3 awesome children, my mother, my aunt and my uncle, who all became kind, loving and strong adults. It doesn't stop there, it continues on to their children, which I happen to be the oldest of the grandkids. If it wasn't for CPP, I wouldn't have been blessed with such a loving family. She instilled so many positive thoughts and morals into her kids, and in turn her kids instilled the same into their kids. I hope to help my son to become kind, loving and strong also. CPP will live on in all of us that she touched, loved and inspired.
I will miss my grandma everyday, but I am also so thankful for everyday I had with her.
I love you Nanners, my angel.....
