Why is the series called "Magic Knight Rayearth" when it is about all three girls? We think that it is because of all the girls, Hikaru, the emotional youngest, is hit the hardest by what has happened. This is essentially a fall from innocence story, and it is Hikaru who falls the longest and lands the hardest.
