• It isn't often that I meet
• Someone I feel close to
• But I met someone; someone sweet
• And that someone was you
• You always make me laugh and smile
• You know just what to say
• And even when there's rain and clouds
• Your words brighten my day
• You seem to say just what you think
• Your heart is kind and true
• There's one good thing about honesty
• You don't have to think it through
• We talk about things till late at night
• And almost till the sunrise
• And even though it's time for sleep
• I cannot close my eyes
• The toughts of you roll through my head
• Your voice I long to hear
• Although I know you are far away
• Somehow you seem so near
• And no matter where our paths may lead
• I know that in the end I will
• Carry with me a special gift,
• The gift of a great friend
