Deep and True

This poem is soon to be published by The International Library of Poetry (at www.poetry.com) in their upcoming book America at the Millennium -- The Best Poems and Poetry of the 20th Century . Just to let you know I have changed the title of this poem. It was Untitled No. 5, but now it is Deep and True. I had never thought of it, but my mom made a wonderful suggestion, the last words of the poem. The way this particular poem is written, that title seems to fit very well.

• I long for you to hold me,
• Hold me in your arms so tight.
• So tight when I'm all alone,
• All alone throught the night.
• The night is so unforgetable,
• So unforgetable like your eyes.
• Your eyes burning into my heart,
• My heart shall tell no lies.
• No lies about my feelings,
• My feelings for you.
• For you, my love,
• My love is deep and true.
