Lester died June 22, 1998. We were married 49 years and even during all that time I never saw a man who came close to him. He loved God,family,home,church,,music and many other things.June 1,1998 the doctors told us he had pancreatic cancer and would not have but maybe 2 months to live.On the morning after Fathers Day at 8:30 in the morning,only 3 weeks later he died.So many memories are in my head,but I can see him playing the guitar and singing,he loved that. A number of family members played music and we always had that as part of family gatherings. Lester and I had nine children,4 sons and 5 daughters,also 12 grandchildren. He was a man everyone liked very much.
