The Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the best husband that ever lived. The way the Prophet treated his wives was very well and he even helped them with their house work. His wives had a major role to play in the Islamic society. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)’s wives were the leaders, teachers and the best example for women in history.

The wives the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had a major role to play in the Muslim community. They were the leaders of the Muslims. They are referred to by Muslims as the “Mothers of The Believers.’ They had a lot of knowledge about the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), because they lived with him. Aisha, the third wife of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) narrated many Ahadith (traditions of the Prophet’s sayings and actions). The Prophet (peace be upon him)’s wives would also meet with the other Muslim women and give them Islamic advice on certain Islamic issues.

The wives of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had a tremendous responsibility towards the Muslim women. They were the torch-bearers of knowledge and had a responsibility to teach and educate the Muslim women. They would give religious advice and would ask the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) about various issues that they did not have knowledge of. They had many important contributions to the Muslim Ummah (nation). Through them Muslims learned about how the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) acted at home. They told us how he would help his wives with their chores, how he would spend time with all his wives, and how he would treat all his wives kindly and justly. The wives of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) were loved by all the Muslims for their extreme sacrifices for the cause of Islam.

The wives of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), because of their noble virtues and their tremendous devotion to Allah (SWT), were the best examples of pious women in the Muslim Ummah (nation) along with the daughters of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). They lived through a lot of hard times, but still kept their faith strong. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would invite companions and strangers to his house often, even if there was very little food to serve. They would prefer others before themselves. They would prefer the Muslim Ummah (nation) before their own selves. They worked and lived very hard. They never complained to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) of their poverty or their duties in the home. They had a great impact upon the history of the Muslims.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the best to his wives, because he was the best of manners being the messenger of Allah (SWT). The wives of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) were very knowledgeable in regards to the religion of Islam and the practices of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). They were the leaders and the teachers of the women. They had a very strong impact on the example of piety for women. They were very important because their contributions to Islam were numerous. They had submitted their souls to the will of Allah and had a major role in propagating the faith of Islam. May Allah reward them for their efforts in the religion of Islam.
