An Interesting Point of View - Part 1
By: Ryo-ohki
Um, okay here it goes… Once upon a time, no, A long, long time ago, that's not right, Our journey begins, no not that, how about:
It was a long time since the people of Pokeworld had seen a new Pokemon Master [that has a nice touch].
"Jarbok!"
"Okay Arbok, Poison Sting!"
"Carbok!"
The restless Arbok lifted its head and released its venom from his fangs. It hit the Bulbasaur and fell from fighting to long.
"No! Arbok!"
The trainer knelt down attempting to pick up the Arbok. She tugged the long purple snake.
"Why did you have to be so big? Argh!"
She finally called the Arbok in its Pokeball. Leto tried to be dramatic and carry the Pokemon to the PokeCenter running for the life of the Pokemon, but Arbok just had to be twice her size.
"I really need a Pikachu"
She reached the PokeCenter and asked the Nurse Joy to heal her Pokemon. As she waited she fell asleep in the chair she was sitting in. A while later the bell chimed. Leto was startled, managing to bring herself to the desk and take the Arbok out of the Pokeball.
Are you ready now?"
The Arbok nodded," Bok!"
"Then let's walk towards Pewter"
As they walked, Arbok actually slithered, through Viridian Forest when all of the sudden she ran into a tree.
"Hey that wasn't there a second ago!"
I know I just have to fit someone in so you can be totally annoyed. So, like I said, Leto had bumped into a tree [I think it was an oak…] and fell into a heap on the ground. Her Arbok climbed the tree and hanged on a branch with the tip of his tail. It reached over and used its fangs to reach into her pockets. It pulled out a wallet, lugging himself back up and down the tree. He filed thorough the wallet searching for something. That's when he saw a credit card.
An hour later Leto came back to her senses. She looked around spotting a guy wearing Kaki shorts and a jersey with a Chansey on it. In one hand he held her Arbok, who was dangling face down with some gum in his mouth chewing nervously. In his other hand he had a credit card.
"Is this yours?" he asked.
"Um, yea. What did he do?" Leto asked propping herself up.
"I don't know how, but he came into my grandfather's store and tried to buy stuff," He commented handing the Arbok to the girl.
"So are you a Pokemon trainer?" he asked
"Me? Yes, I'm Leto and you are…?"
"I'm Jesse, Jesse Jones, and live just to the right of Viridian Forest," Jesse said walking back his own way.
"The stars and moon"
"We're on the tune!"
"Evil will grasp"
"Up towards our past"
"Himeko!"
"T. Sting!"
"Team Rocket reaching for success!"
"To our leader we will impress!"
"Vulllpix!"
Leto and Jesse looked oddly at the two standing figures. A girl with long brown hair to her waist stood wearing black overalls with a small R embroiders on the front. The guy wore a black T-shirt with the word Rocket spelled on it and a coat coming down to his knees. His brown hair stuck out of a logo baseball cap saying Team. The Vulpix wore a black leather collar around its red neck.
"We want your Pokemon now!" said T.Sting reaching out his palm.
"You wouldn't happen to have a Persian, would you? I wanted one, but the boss-" SMACK! T.Sting threw his hand into Himeko's facing, slapping her uncauntious.
"She means that we want all your extremely good Pokemon," he said.
"Um, I didn't bring my Pokemon-"replied Jesse, as he started to blush.
"Oh please, I would like to have at least one fierce Pokemon. Howa' about the Arbok? Our boss only desires cute and adorable Pokemon and-" he was cut of by his partner, who reach in front of him and whacked him with a mallet.
"Look, just hand over the goods or else!"
"Charbok!" yelled the snake as he slithered from behind Leto and inched towards Himeko.
"Ekkk!!! Get that thing away from me! I hate snakes! Back, back!" she turned around running as fast as she could, dragging Sting behind her and holding Vulpix in her arms.
"Er, that was interesting. Let's head to this store you were talking about, okay?"
"Uh, sure, my grandfather needs the business, heh,"
They walked several minutes until they reached a small winding path. The path led to a small shop hidden in the woods. It was actually smaller compared to other stores it had trees hiding it. You couldn't practically see the sign that said Secret Potions and Elixers. On it was a Chansey who held a velvet pouch.
"Here it is, it's not much, but it has many Pokemon who need care in potions," he said.
"Wow, really? Then there must be tons of wild Pokemon around here, right?" Leto eye's turned starry as she folded her hands, pulling them under her chin.
"Yea, but no one is allowed to take them from here," Jesse said looking oddly as Leto facefaulted to the ground.
"Offta, um, so do you know a lot about Pokemon health?"
"Yup, grandpa keeps sending me into the forest with my Pokemon, Chansey, and we look for wounded Pokemon and helping herbs."
"You have a Chansey!?! No fair!"
"Uh, yea, but-"
"RAIII!"
Jesse was stopped short as a smaller then usual kind Raichu popped out dodging around Leto and greeting Jesse. The Raichu was so small it fit in his hands.
"Oh, how cute! Is she yours?"
"No, this is a wild Raichu, probably the runt of the litter. I nicknamed her Surfer Raichu, she came in with a broken paw and a electricity shortage."
"Ah, poor thing," sniffed Leto, scratching the rodent under the chin.
Surfer Raichu liked the idea of Leto and hopped out of Jesse's hands and landed on Leto's shoulder. Leto continued to pet the Raichu as they walked into the small store. In the room stood shelves full of bottles, sprayers, and boxes of concoctions. They walked to a short table and sat down. Behind some curtains they heard clanking and boiling. As they were there a Chansey came out with a tray of herbal tea.
"Darn elixer! " someone shouted from the curtain.
"Grandfather! Could you come out here for a sec!"
"Sure, sure, young`n," replied the elder as he came waddling out from the curtains drying his hands.
"This is Leto-chan," Jesse stood up and helped the man to sit down.
"Ah, the Arbok trainer I suppose. Smart snake you got there, oh, I see you've met Surfer Raichu. Fine critter right there, problem is no one will take care of her."
"Really?" Leto asked frowning at the adorable Raichu.
"Yup, but sure Jesse has been taking care of her. Still a Pokemon should have the proper trainer, you know, a trial run."
"She sure is a likable Pokemon, do you think she could travel with me and Jesse?"
"Me!?! When did I come in?" Jesse shouted wildly.
"It'll be good for you, Jesse, go with Leto then," the older man agreed.
"Yea! A new Pokemon and someone to go along with" yelled Leto as she stood up and ran to the door.
"Give me a sec. I need to get my stuff for-"
"Done! Here your backpack and sleepingbag, that should be all, oh, and your Pokemon. Chansey get over here, you are to follow Jesse, all right? Goodbye then Grandson!"
"Uh, thanks. Bye Grandfather!"
And so our journey has started. Leto has made new friends and life couldn't get any better. What adventures may lie ahead? What about this Team Rocket? Till next time….
