Butterscotch Bites

6 Tbsp butter, melted (do not substitute)
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
1 (9 oz) pkg chocolate wafers, crushed
2 cups butterscotch flavor pieces
1/4 cup whipping cream
3/4 cup peanuts, chopped

Chocolate Layer:
Stir together butter, peanut butter and powdered sugar in large mixing bowl.
Stir in crushed chocolate wafers.
Combine well.
Press mixture into the bottom of a 13x9x2-inch baking pan.

Butterscotch Layer:
Combine butterscotch pieces and whipping cream in a heavy small saucepan.
Stir over low heat until pieces are melted.
Carefully spoon and spread butterscotch mixture over chocolate mixture.
Sprinkle chopped peanuts evenly over butterscotch mixture.
Chill at least 2 hours.
Cut candy into 1-inch squares to serve.
Cover and store in refrigerator.
Makes 96 Pieces
